Ride in Style! 🚴♂️ Elevate your cycling game with Giro.
None of us want to feel like we are wearing our ski gloves when we're riding. You also don't want to worry about turning your palms into raw meat, so you'll probably want to get yourself a pair of the Giro Xen Gloves. Giro has gone that extra mile to make sure that you are protected, well ventilated, and feel comfortable to boot. In terms of protection, Giro made use of sonic-welded armor to cover your knuckles, upper fingers, and the top outside portion of the hand. But instead of feeling like you are wearing hand braces, they have interspersed these protective elements with moisture-wicking, breathable mesh. Even on hot days, the Xen Gloves will be airy enough to use. The knuckles have articulated flex zones so you can really get your hands wrapped around the bar. Silicon grip is added at the fingertip as an extra precaution. Giro uses their Super Fit Engineered palm process to develop the gloves in a way that guides the fit, design, and pattern of every Giro glove for the ultimate in comfort and performance. Essentially, they do this by tailoring the palm, fingers, and padding to conform to various shapes and sizes of hands. By using Clarino, Giro ensures that the Xen palms are durable without being stiff. Unlike real leather, you won't have to worry about these palms becoming hardened and cracked after you've fallen a into puddles or wet leafy areas. The protection doesn't stop there, though. Giro also added 3mm vented Poron XRD crash pads that wrap around the heel of the hand. The Giro Xen Gloves come with a wiping surface that will be able to absorb even the runniest of noses. The pull-tab and Velcro closure are effective and unobtrusive. Available in Small through XX-Large, the Xen gloves come in Black/Cyan.Product FeaturesMaterial: ,Closure: rip-and-stick rubber strapPadding: gelRecommended Use: cyclingManufacturer Warranty:

Very Comfortable
These are very comfortable gloves, they have a nice grip, and the wrist strap is easy to connect and stays connected no matter what. I like that there is not too much padding on the palm. I have had gloves with a lot of padding and I did not like them. These gloves have a layer that keeps your hand from slipping around but not so much that your palms get all sweaty. The grips on the fingers work great. The only problem I have with these gloves is the fact that after an hour or so of riding the gloves are saturated with sweat. The grips are wet and don't grab the break levers like they did at the beginning of the ride. If it was not for that I would have given them 4 stars. I do mostly cross country so wet gloves is not really a big problem. I will continue to use them because they are comfortable and have a nice grip and they look great.

I adore these gloves
I actually purchased these as a replacement pair for the ones I left sitting on the roof of my car. They breath great, fit great, feel nice. The padding placement isn't designed to help with handle bars, but there is more padding toward the lower inside part of my palm. I crashed bare handed Saturday, and turns out the damage was all done under where the padding would have been.Excellent for: Minor Crashes, minor handlebar irritationIf you're looking for something to absorb handle bar vibration or whatever though, this isn't your glove.Size reference: I'm a guy who doesn't have big hands, but not super small either, so I debated between medium and large as I couldn't remember the size I had before. Went with large. Definition of "fits like a glove."

Runs small
I don't know if Amazon has a default sizing chart for all items or for each individual product. Anyways, If you buy these go a size larger. I oredered medium because I followed the measuring instructions of the sizing chart, but they turned out to be to small. so in reality the medium is actually a small.

Very breathable and great materials
This glove is very lightweight and very breathable for hot weather. Mesh lining in between fingers so all I have to do is open up my fingers to allow airflow during hot weather riding. Fit is perfect. Good materials. I ordered one size smaller b/c I rather have them stretch a bit and fit snug than with loose fabric. Because of this, I take extra care while removing these gloves as they tend to be delicate due to the breathable materials.

Good gloves not great
they've held up pretty good although they are already starting to tear...i've never owned a more expensive pair than this so I can't compare but when i mountain bike in south texas we have some pretty thick branches and brush that hit us and it's shown some signs of tearing and wear but on the bright side they are comfortable and protecting my hands...they did fit a bit smaller than expected...i would go one size up from what their chart recommends...

Well ventilated.
These are comfortable and well ventilated. I do wish to have a little more padding since my hands are still forming calluses at the base of 3-5th fingers. Maybe I am grabbing the handles too hard. It's a newbie thing I guess.

Excellent fit, great comfort
I always wear full fingered gloves, as the area I ride frequently has bramble and nettles that are taller than my handlebars. Full fingered gloves only provide partial protection from the bramble, but at least the nettles can't make my fingers numb.My previous pair were a set of 661s, but I've misplaced one of them. When I tried on a new pair, 661 seems to have changed the sizes slightly, a medium pair (which was the size of the last ones I owned) were too long in the fingers and at the same time too tight. With the Giro Xen, I have to wear the large size. That said, they are a perfect fit. I'd suggest that you try before you buy any gloves. What's perfect for me may be too small for you.The back is a close-mesh which allows them to be a tight but comfortable fit (it actually looks solid, until you stretch it.) The wrist fastening is smaller than some, but the velcro holds them in place without restricting movement. Pity the weather has been fairly cool since I've bought these, so I can't comment on their use in hot weather.Bad points? A bit tight to remove, though the tight fit is one of their good points for me, and it would have been nice to have a bit more of the rubber armour on the fingers. But that's just me being picky...If these gloves fit you, they're comfortable and looks as though they'll be cool in the summer heat (when and if it actually arrives.) They should last for a couple of seasons riding (the bramble kills gloves) and at this price (sub £25), they're well worth getting.

schickes Design - schlechtes Material
