I’m always seeing hats that I would love to purchase, but I need to have a cord to hold them on in windy weather. I just have that kind of head that doesn’t hold onto a hat well. These chords are very good quality and very easy to attach to the hat. I wish I had known about them a long time ago.

These are great add-ons for hats that don't have a chin strap. The woven strap is wide and soft so it's comfortable on the chin and the alligator clips are easy to clamp on to the inside band of a hat and stay put. Inexpensive, easy fix!

When I wore these is made indentations in my head where they attach to the inside of my hat. It was quite uncomfortable. It did hold the hat on in the wind though.

Great to take on boats or windy days! Value pack is nice for sharing. Transfer from one to another hat allows for many different options!

Great quality for the price! I got these to keep my daughter's Halloween witch hat on since it didn't come with a chin strap. I was worried due to the mixed reviews but it was fine. Very durable and the clips were not flimsy at all. It was windy and the clips stayed on without slipping or falling off. Great purchase

I bought these to keep hats on my dogs for the Christmas card pictures, and they worked! If they make hats stay on my dogs (ranging from a Chihuahua to a 100 pound German Shepherd), they’ll certainly work for people! These are great — so glad I found them!

The photos show them being clipped to a thin cloth hat. And there's a reason for that: it's the only type of hat this will clip to, and the clip probably shows when you wear the hat. My hat is made of straw, with a band inside. If I try to clip them to the top of the band, the band bends down out of place, and if I try attaching them where the band is sewn to the hat, they're too clumsy to latch on. So, as they are, they are utterly useless.In addition, opening the clip nearly broke my nail and the middle section with the teeth wouldn't stay open on its own. Altogether an utter failure. I'm very disappointed, because I thought I'd found something I needed, and that wasn't black.Another thing, the clips and piece for adjusting the fit are rather crude and large.What's needed are hooks that attach inconspicuously to the inside of the hat (or hat band).
