Our scooter's wheel popped off while riding!
We used to love this brand. In fact this is our second scooter and we also own a ride on. All that said we've had this scooter for about 2 years and all of the sudden one of the wheels popped off while my son was riding the scooter!!! Thankfully nothing major happened to him but he fell and got pretty scraped up. Still, in my opinion this in unacceptable not to mention very dangerous. Considering that the scooter has multiple heights and it's suppose to "grow" with your child the fact that a wheel popped off just after two years speaks to the low quality (or perhaps defect) of this scooter's materials. I made multiple attempts to contact YBike's costumer service and finally after a month and a half I got a response from them. The person on the phone was very unpleasant and told me that it's just normal wear and tear and that since the scooter is two years old I'd have to buy a new wheel. No apologies, no concern for what happened. I explained that scratches or worn of wheels were considered wear and tear but a wheel should not just pop off, not after two years, not ever. After a little back and forth she offered to send me a free wheel and then put me on hold. A minute later she got back on and took back the offer and said that I'd have to pay for it. Seriously??? I explained that at this point wasn't about the $15 but about the horrible customer service and the lack of concern for what happened and that they're selling a defective product for children. After this experience I can no longer trust the quality of this brand and would much rather buy a new scooter from a more trusted brand.

Worth the Price and Eases First Time Mom Anxiety!
My 3 1/2 year old daughter asked Santa for a Scooter. I was really, really hesitant but thought if I could find a 3 wheel safe one then maybe Santa will grant her wish. The problem is my daughter is physically the size of a 5-7 year old both in height and weight. So she is basically too big for all the toddler scooters out there. I literally spent weeks researching until finally I came across this brand. I took a chance and ordered it. I am so happy I did. It has 3 adjustable heights. My daughter is about 40" or 3 1/2 feet tall and the middle height is perfect for her; which means she can actually use this scooter for a while before it's too big. The product details is true to its word. She is also around 56 lbs and the board doesn't even slightly bend under her weight. It seems that it'll actually hold up to the 110 lb limit it says. I accidentally put my weight on bars and foot on board while helping her and it was able to handle! You do have to teach the child to stay in middle of board as it can flip over. She put all her weight against the pole and hit a bump and it did topple. Also the lean too is amazing. I didn't really understand this, but basically the pole doesn't turn, the child has to lean to right or left to get it to move. This makes it easy to learn how to steer the scooter. She goes in a straight line no matter what unless she leans one side or another. It is also light weight. She can pick it up. It makes it easy to carry. We live on second floor of apartment and have to carry to park to play. Set-up easy as well. Took out of box clicked pole into board and done. It's only been 3 days, but we love this! She has mastered using it but still working on braking. I feel comfortable in letting her play on it; although I am still slightly running alongside it. All in all, if you have a fast growing kid with a no fear attitude I would highly suggest purchasing this scooter and the helmet Amazon suggests you buy together. I never write reviews, but I was so happy with this purchase I felt the need to write one! Hopefully, it helps others. I know how frustrating it can be trying to find something that physically fits your kid, but is still safe and in the age appropriate limits of your child. My daughter is also in heaven she has not gotten off the thing, since she opened it.

Buy this! Awesome product!
I really love these scooters! I bought my (then 2 1/2 year old) son the YBike Glider (smaller version of this) last year for Christmas, and he loves it. He is still constantly riding that thing even a year later! It is sturdy, and makes a super smooth and fast ride. It is awesome. Since we loved it so much, we decided to buy the big kid version for my 6 year old daughter. We are just as impressed with this scooter! Great quality/build, smooth ride, and is a fast and thrilling ride! They can ride on those things just as fast as I can run (at pretty much full speed). This is not a scooter for babies (people might think so because of the three wheels)... it's just a different kind of scooter. It is just as fast as the two wheel scooters, but has the bonus of a little extra stability. Plus, this is pretty much the exact same scooter as the Micro Maxi Kick, but the price is much better... and the quality is at least the same! They have made a loyal costumer out of me!Also, if you have a younger kid and are deciding between this scooter and the smaller version, go with this one. The lowest setting on this scooter is the same height as the non adjustable version for younger kids.

Great product!
Bought it for my 6-year old daughter. She didn't like her previous scooter much, but loves riding this one a lot. She is quite tall at 4'3, but even the second to last height setting suits her comfortably, so she is not going to overgrow it too soon. The build quality is decent - the scooter still looks and rides like new three months later. It is fairly fast (I have to run when going for rides with her) and handles uneven pavement quite well. It also looks great.
