If you want to make ice cream for the first time this is a little belter
Wow what a great machine - churned a lovely healthy ice cream in it. Great price and also the Lakeland 3 year guarantee. A big little machine. Easy to clean. I didn't find the spout an issue I just used a jug to pour in the mixture

Does what it says on the box
This device makes sorbet and ice cream perfectly, a bit faffy with freezing the inner container, so a must have is a large freezer.

Fragile
Works ok but the paddle and churning mechanism are both a bit plastic fantastic and I'm not convinced it will last. Disappointing for a Lakeland product and given the price, the functionality is extremely minimalistic. Had I known I would have just chosen a cheaper model to achieve the same thing.

Endless fun
Decided to get an ice cream maker to increase choice of flavours and decrease plastic packaging and cut a processed food product. Good thing I didn't buy one years ago, or I probably wouldn't fit through the door now! Turns out it's all too easy to combine various ingredients and make delicious ice cream. As some others have commented, pouring the ingredients into the inlet can be a bit fiddly and messy, but you soon get the hang of it with the liquid part, and any other, more solid, additions just open and stir in towards end of freezing process. Ive never had or tried another ICM for comparison, but am happy with this for the price and my usage. Keep the bowl in freezer at the ready (a litre round tub of your previous ice cream batch sits inside it nicely, so you're not wasting space.)
