For the "Best Dressed Gangster".....these spats are a must!
My Son's High School Mid-Winter Dance "THE ROARING 20s"The spats completely pulled the gangster outfit together. A very unique accessory! We highly recommended them to complete the desired look! Without the spats...it would be, just an ordinary outfit!

Extremely poor quality. Yes
Extremely poor quality. Yes, they're not very expensive, but they're not even worth what I paid for them. They basically fell apart when I put them on. The velcro tears loose from the spats just trying to pull it apart to put the spats on my shoes (the bond between the two sides of the velcro is FAR stronger than the glue holding the velcro to the spat). Also, there's no strap to hold the spats in place on the shoe, so they just flop around. If you're looking for spats (even just cheap costume spats) I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere.

Cheap But It Worked
Did the job for a small skit but buttons kept coming off and barely stayed velcro together. The skit wasn't a huge production so we were ok with it.

Completely Worthless and Hard to Understand how They Stay on Amazon as a Product
While, given the price, I was not expecting much to begin with. These spats were to simply get me through an evening roaring 20's party. They could not even manage to make it through the opening of the bag process. Given the price, I was expecting cheap. They did not even make it to the level of cheap. They were worthless. Lets start with the black button looking objects that decorate the spats that you see in the picture. Half of them where in the bottom of the bag and half were still glued to the spat. Not a real big deal, I simply pealed the remaining buttons off the spats and made them solid white. The spats use three, tiny velcro strips at the front, glued to each side of the spat to act as closures. Unfortunately the glue they used to attach both sides of the vinyl spat was the consistency of a liquid, making it impossible to keep the spats closed around your ankle because the glue was incapable of holding each strip of velcro in place. Frankly, I am amazed they were not at the bottom of the bag when I opened it as well. These spats were worthless and a complete waste of money.

These Don't Hold Together
I ordered these to use for a cosplay, thinking they'd be good enough for what i needed them for. But after wearing them for all of 10 minutes, buttons started to fall off. They didn't sit properly over the shoes, either. These are by NO means a one size fits all product. By the end of the day, there were dirty smudges all over them and i was missing half the buttons. If you think you can make these work, be my guest, but I don't think I'll be trying again.

Works for a Costume
I wanted costume spats and I got costume spats. They fit fine, they got the message across, they didn't fall apart, and they didn't cost too much. Works for me. I don't know how well they would fare if used heavily, but I'm not entirely sure who would use them heavily. They did need adjustment pretty consistently throughout the night though. I keep them around in case there is a period themed swing dance party on campus, but unless I modify them I doubt they would stay on through that. Basically, they work fine unless you need them to stay looking sharp through heavy motion. A side note, almost no one who saw them recognized them as spats or had any idea what spats were. Kids these days.

Not worth the price - don't waste your time
These spats are made of vinyl and the black buttons are just glued on disks. The glue was very sloppily applied. The buttons were affixed in a fairly careless manner, not lined up, glue was present between buttons and hair and other foreign material was stuck to the glue. The buttons were falling off upon taking the product out of the package. There is no elastic strap to keep the spats down on your shoe. They just wrap around your ankle with Velcro. If you purchase this product, then have a bottle of glue on hand and just reapply the buttons back on to the spats. Good luck.

You get what you pay for, and no more.
They fit alright, but once my I put on my slacks they were pretty much covered up and you could barely see them. They were very cheaply made though and several of the "buttons" (actually plastic discs hot-glue gunned on) had fallen off in the first few minutes after putting them on.I was not expecting a high quality item for the price, and these were not a high quality item. They did, however, meet my rather Spartan needs for the evening.
