Just used this algae scraper on both my tanks. One had blackbeard algae and the other green algae. It worked perfectly and took off all of it with little effort. Wish I had bought this a long time ago. Highly recommend it for people with taller/deeper tanks.

This scraper is amazing. The razor is double-sided and paper-thin...instructions on the back. It comes with extra razors and a tool. Just be careful as it is sharp! And that includes curious water critters. But less messy than a sponge scraper. It just rolls the algae up and you can then suck it out with a turkey baster or let your shrimp have at it! I'm in love, lol. Hole was provided to hang on maintenance tool rack.

Scraper works great once you assemble it. Problem is that the instructions are in Chinese. I used my limited engineering knowledge to eventually figure it out.

I tried to put it together and cut my finger. Enough said. It was too difficult to deal with for a simple aquarium scraper.

I requested the SWETOR Algae Scraper for Glass Aquarium, Plastic Long Handle Fish Tank Scrubber for Glass, in part, because of the description of a "Long Handle". Not sure about anyone else but, I don't consider an overall tool length of 12 inches to be exceptionally "long". It certainly isn't going to be overly effective for staying dry when used in a 125-gallon tank that is operational. That said, the tool is well-constructed plastic with nylon bristles. I'm sure it will provide a long service life, provided it will work in our 20-gal tank, which is the largest tank size that I would even bother trying to use this brush on. Not an exceptional product so it gets the median rating of 3 stars.
