I purchased a two pack and they were shrink wrapped together so there was no chance for any product to leak out. I use this in my cold process soap recipes and it is very reliable. It does dissolve fast which is convenient. This particular lye is the tiny beads and not the flakes or powder. You must be careful when you pour it because they bounce so pour them into a container with higher sides. Here are a few pictures of soaps I made using this lye and also a close up of the lye
