Works great, VERY user friendly
I have had this watch for over one year and love it. I wear it 24/7. The only time I do not wear it is when it is charging. It does everything I need it to when I am running. VERY user friendly, better than my Timex Ironman or Casio sport watches. My only complaint is the charge cord is short so I bought a pair of very long charge cords and keep one in my car in case I forgot to charge the watch at home.

Returned a Fitbit for this
I purchased a Fitbit that had issues with heart rate accuracy so I returned it and got this instead. So glad I made that choice.Perfect watch for tracking steps, sleep, workouts etc.

Best Garmin smartwatch + fitness watch!
I love the Forerunner 255S. Most importantly, the classic always-on screen is the best feature, and that's something they took away in the newer models. In the newer models, you have to pivot your wrist to get the motion sensor to turn on the display just to check the time, which is actually more annoying than you'd think. It's way more convenient to be able to see the time without doing anything unnatural.Secondly, I'd argue the lack of a touchscreen (compared to the Venu's) is actually a feature. When I bought this 2 years ago, I was coming from a touchscreen Garmin watch, and I was afraid I'd miss the touchscreen. I was wrong. The buttons are just as quick and easy to use, and if it's raining you can still use it, and most importantly if you're wearing a rain jacket, it doesn't randomly "touch" things on the screen (that would happen with my previous touchscreen watch when the rain jacket was wet and touching the screen). The battery life is ridiculously good, I only have to charge this like every 6 days and I use it for occasional 3 mile weekday runs and always keep it connected to my phone as a smartwatch for text messages. For longer hikes, the battery life is also ridiculously good. I'd struggle to find a reason to pay much more than what this watch costs, I think this watch is the perfect watch for 90% of people!

Does the job
Seems to do what I want it to do, even syncs with my Concept2 rower! I also swim 25 yd laps at the gym with it and it measures them accurately. Pretty happy with it overall.

Very happy with my upgrade.
Love this fitness tracker. I've been using it for about a week now, having switched from a fitbit Charge 4. The ONLY thing I liked better about the Fitbit is the altimeter in the charge was more accurate. The Garmin sometimes counts flights when I'm walking up a hill outside. My fitbit never did that. Other than that I love this garmin and am sorry I didn't upgrade to one sooner.
