You want a low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency below 500 khz. **Q: I just got this today and it does nothing for me:-( Is it directional? I have tried it both ways, with absolutly no difference at all:-(** A: If you're not having overload problems from a nearby AM transmitter, you won't notice any difference. It made all the difference in the world on mine, it was overloading so badly I couldn't use 80m or below. I don't think it matters which way you put it inline. It does let some through at times, but I believe it is due to close proximity. However, if I don't use this as well as the FM bandstop, it makes SWL almost impossible at times.
