Watery
The bottle I received is very watery. It seems like it was watered down and doesnt really lather. Wish I could return, but I bought this to have for when my other bottle ran out, so by the time I started using it I could no longer return.

Watered down
What a disappointing product! The shampoo is very watered down and runny. Unfortunately I didn’t use the product right away and missed the return window. $80 down the drain, literally.

Nice, Large Bottle, Cleanser Is Very Thin But Lathers Well/Cleans Effectively
This Authentic Beauty Concept Amplify Cleanser definitely makes my hair feel clean. It comes in a large 1000ml light minty green plastic bottle- it is a great size. I feel like this could last forever with how little I need to use.It does give my hair that squeaky clean feel after I rinse out which some people may not like, but it didn’t do it as much as a couple other products I have tried before. I also did use much more than I needed- I’ll definitely be using a smaller amount next time as a little seems to go a long way.It has a nice pleasant and subtle smell. The scent doesn’t seem to linger at all after rinsing which I am perfectly fine with. I do wish they would disclose all the actual ingredients instead of writing parfum (fragrance)- I want to know what it is.The product is clear and thin -like verging on watery but not quite. It is probably thinner than any shampoo I have ever used. I was surprised at how much it lathers/foams up despite being so thin. If I put a small amount in my hands and rub together, it so quickly foams up and is easy to apply. I don’t have to use much of this at all to feel like my hair is adequately cleansed- and my hair is past shoulder length a bit past my breasts. The one thing that I think could make this better is either a pump dispenser or flip top cap. You have to screw the whole cap off completely to dispense from a larger hole than expected. The bottle is rigid so you can’t squeeze, but the cleanser still comes out easily due to how thin it is. I would still prefer a pump or at least a flip top cap though. They say Their formulas are free from micro plastics, mineral oil, parabens, SLS/SLES sulfates, and silicones. I’m not some expert on the ingredients they do include, so if you are very concerned, then you should probably try to research it.Anyway, I am overall very happy with this cleanser. I haven’t experienced any type of sensitivity to this product and I have sensitive skin. I actually don’t even have thin hair and this product seems to work well for me. I would recommend if you can afford the $65 for this large bottle. I hope my review was helpful in some way, and if so, I would love to know- thanks!

Love my big hair!
So, I'm maybe not the exact target audience for this Amplify shampoo. My hair isn't fine. Or thin. Nor does it "need" more volume. Rather, it's thick, curly and generally huge. But here's the thing: I learned a long time ago to embrace my big hair. And products that may make it bigger? Bring it.I've been fortunate to try several Authentic Beauty Concept products and I've loved all of them. This Amplify shampoo is no exception. My favorite thing about this brand is all the bad stuff they leave out of their products. And what they put in? Makes my hair look amazing.Because of covid, I've only gotten my hair cut and colored once in the past year. It's looking a little rough these days. Damaged ends. Tons of gray grow-out on top. Just a little blah, you know? So I'm pretty careful with it. Try to treat it right. Biggest change I made since the Before Times, when I used to get it colored every 7 weeks, is that now I wash it a LOT less, to try to preserve what color I've still got. I wash it maybe every 4-5 days, on average. But as anyone with curly hair knows, that means there's a LOT of product to cut through on wash day. A lot of shampoos just can't cut through it on the first pass. But this product really surprised me. It lathered up nicely and stayed that way! Usually, what happens with most shampoos is they hit all the product and any and all lather just dissolves. But not this stuff! I was actually shocked when I tried this for the first time and only had to wash my hair one time! Amazing.I paired this with my favorite conditioner (I don't have conditioner from this brand, unfortunately). A quick application of my favorite curl products and some quality time with a diffuser and voila! Definitely impressed by the volume situation going on here. This bottle of shampoo is ENORMOUS. At the rate at which I wash my hair, this may last me a whole year! I don't know what I was expecting, but it's huge. For reference, here it is next to a 1-cup measuring cup. It's a lot. Which is awesome! And unexpected. My *only* quibble with this product is very minor. And it has nothing to do with the shampoo itself. Rather, the bottle. It's semi-rigid plastic, which I find very strange. So it's not squeezable at all. It has almost like a pour spout at the top. This isn't an issue now because it's new and there's plenty of shampoo left in the giant bottle. But when it's maybe 2/3 empty, I can see this being a problem. I'll have to find some way to store it upside down in my shower since I can't shake it down and squeeze it out.But that's a problem for another day. Right now, I'm just so pleased with this product and how big it makes my hair. Soft, shiny, healthy and great body. Yes, yes, yes and YES. Highly recommend.

gentle added volume!
I have tried a few Authentic hair care products, and I'm really pleased with this vegan line! To me, the scent of this "amplify" cleanser is a bit citrus-y. I am mildly-moderately sensitive to scents, and when I smell it direct from the bottle, the scent is light-moderate. So in actual use, it is pleasant and not very strong, but if one is averse to citrus-y scents, that's something to keep in mind. The cleanser has a nice lather and washes out easily. I am pretty sure that it is actually an "anti-residue" shampoo, because on my hair, it felt like it removed build-up. I think that may be what gives it the mild "amplifying" effect that I experienced on my half-fine-light brown/half curly white hair. My shortish hair was left feeling light, fresh, and easy to style.I love having this huge amount of cleanser. For me, as a smallish older (she, 60) person with mild arthritis, the container is difficult to navigate. The cap needs to be taken off, and for me, it is actually hard to wrap my hand around it to hold it and dispense it in the shower. It is a two-handed operation, and for anyone with balance issues, this could be a significant issue. It really would be best in a container with a sturdy pump. The shampoo is not that thick, and so it would be easiest to dispense that way.The actual product is highly recommended; I just need to put it in a different container!
