This product is fantastic
Really impressed with this tripod. It is super lightweight and incredibly durable for what it is. I found it very easy to adjust and set up well on the hillside glassing. I was looking for a Tripod that was Super compact, super easy to set up and would work perfectly with both my spotting scope, and my binoculars.I did return this product and here’s why. I often times really like to glass while standing. This product was just too short. It fit the bill for almost everything else. But that was the main fail point. The other thing that I did not love was the ball head only had one control lock. What I mean by this is that if I loosen the ball, the binoculars would rotate left and right, but also tilt sideways and forwards and backwards, and all directions. I wanted something that I could lock the tilt, but still be able to rotate it horizontally across the landscape. Or lock it horizontally, but be able to just vertically. This just didn’t fit that bill. I would’ve had to spend another hundred or so dollars for a head that was better suited for what I was looking for.If that’s not an issue for you this tripod is fantastic. Coming in under 3 pounds is incredible. This thing is a really great deal. Really bummed I couldn’t make it work.

Great ultralight backpacking tripod for smaller cameras
I would NOT use this for the heavier full framed DSLRs like my old Canon 5D series with battery grip and L-series lenses, of course I got tired of carrying that heavy beast with me period and finally went mirrorless. The tripod itself can handle the weight, but I wouldn't trust the stability especially in uneven terrainMirrorless cameras and this tripod are a match made in heaven for ultra lightweight camera equipment, making several of my recent hikes so much easier. If you shoot with crop sensor cameras you should be fine, though the mid ranged crop sensor like the Canon 90D or 7D series from canon might be a bit hefty, depending on the lens, add an L series lens and then it is closer to a full framed camera. That's why you go mirrorless...One thing I noticed with the quick release plate is how it seats on the bottom of the camera at least with my Sony Mirrorless, both of them, the rubber anti slip pads can only go one direction. The length of the rubber pads must go from the back of the camera to the front towards the lens, if the rubber pads go along the side of the bottom it will turn all the time. You do that and it seems to be extremely secure

Excellent for the enthusiast
I would not recommend this to a budget photographer, because you could get an aluminum tripod with the same weight for about $100 cheaper and use that to buy a decent 3rd party flash. But to the enthusiast who has longed for a carbon fiber tripod, this is great. I have used if for my recent shoots because it is sturdy and light. I already have a good aluminum tripod of the same weight, so I was grateful that is a good bit more sturdy. Not certain that this name brand is build better than the knockoffs though, because a leg section pulled out. I was able to use my trusty hot glue to repair as good as new (like fixing a fishing rod tip).

Great quality so far, seems extremely well made.
First I want to disclose that I am an amateur and have only owned "cheap" tripods. I did recently buy one for around $75 thinking it would be a LOT better than a $35 one, but it was not. This one is worth the money. I could not justify spending $400-600 on a professional travel tripod, but I did stretch my budget and get this one. I must say, the materials and design are amazing. It doesn't feel cheap at any spot from the ball head to the feet. I haven't had a chance to use it for night photography yet but the stability seems a lot better than my aluminum $35 model. This is heavier, but not by a ton. It is also a little larger than some travel tripods, but it is still compact enough to carry around. The largeness is due to the thickness of the tubes and thus helps stability I assume, but it is not a large difference from a compact travel aluminum one. All in all I give it 5 stars. I rarely never give 5 stars. Cheers!Note. I have had a chance to test it out. This is by far the best I have ever had. The size is great, and the solidness is appreciated. The ball head is great quality. I bought a quick release plate to go with it and it works awesome. You will not be disappointed.

Calidad y precio en equilibrio
Me agradado bastante el trípode, tiene la robustez que buscaba y las funciones que deseaba para mis inicios como fotógrafo, además, también me sirve para utilizar el teléfono o la Tablet mientras dejo libres mis manos

Best tripod for the back-country hunter
As an avid Coues Whitetail hunter in Southern Arizona, I was in search of a tripod that was light, relatively short in length, with solid functionality. I have three other tripods in my arsenal, including a Slik and a Vortex (Summit SS) but the first is too heavy and the second is a bit too light for my recently acquired Leica 15x56 Geovids. I had this tripod out for a scout trip this past weekend and it didn't disappoint; for the money it is by far the best tripod I have owned or seen. It is reasonably light-weight, short enough to fit in most packs (including my day pack, the Diablo Dos), and is top quality. I particularly liked the tripod head - well designed, compact, and yet the base will not slip out of the tripod. The vertical and horizontal knobs only need an 1/8th of of a turn to snug down and also pivot with ease but with just enough resistance so that the binos do not suddenly spin left or right or fall forward or backward. If you are a back-country hunter who cares about weight and functionality, I think you will find this tipod to your liking...and your demanding specifications. I am recommending it to all of my friends.

super duper awesome
I have shot for 40+ years, I have spent literally hundreds of thousands on equipment, perhaps even millions, this is a great travel tripod for an off brand, it is not super sturdy, however, as a travel tripod it is not designed to be. it is light weight, small but very strong for its design, the design, build and attention to detail is quite good. Recomended

Best travel tripod
It is a lightweight, compact, and stable tripod. It can handle the weight of a Nikon D500 and Nikkor 200-500mm lens quite easily.
