I have an older electric Remington chainsaw, bought from Sears some time ago. The plastic gear that drives the chain wore out after many many years of use. This was a perfect replacement fit. Easy to take apart and replace. Looks and feels as good as the original part. The chainsaw's electric motor is working great. Why buy a new electric chainsaw? Replacing this part allowed me to finish cutting large branches that fell from our front yard tree during a storm. Let the saw do the work, don't force it. Electric saws are durable like some of the more expensive gas chainsaws. but it gets the job done.

I would argue with the designers that plastic was not the right choice for the drive sprocket cogs, but at least replacing this drive sprocket is easy and inexpensive.

THE CHANG SAW SPROCKET ORDERED WAS THE PROPER PART. THE PROBLEM WAS THEi.d. BORE SIZE WAS TO SMALL WE CALLED THE SELLER BUT NO RESPONSE, PORE QUALITY.

I went through five or six of these trying to cut up an old maple tree that had fallen in my yard. I was putting these in an old wired electric Remington saw. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a brand new Bauer 14 amp wired electric saw for $75, and guess what? No plastic sprocket to shred! If you are going through these quickly, consider replacing your saw like I did.

Made my chainsaw run again. Fits perfectly. It does not comes with the little roller bearing, need to be bought separately, but can't find it on Amazon.

I bought these as replacement part for my Remington RM1645 Versa Saw 12 Amp 16 Electric Chainsaw. The center hole was too small. I had to bore it out to a full 3/8” on my drill press with lots of cutting lube and frequently dipping the part in water so it did not get too hot from the friction to melt or deform the plastic. After that, works as expected.
