Inexpensive, accurate tooling

Don't know about you but, I don't like messing around with live wires. This tool is the way to go, I've got VTOM meters, but you have to get contact probe to wire. Watched the s.son use one recently so, dang! that's slick! Got one for myself and used it today changing breakers in the service box. I bought an inexpensive one for occasional DYI stuff around the house and it works but time will tell on longevity/function issues.

Very satisfied

It works but doesn't work with rechargeable AAA batteries which is not convenient at all. Today, I tried using it with regular AAAs and it would make a slight sound but wouldn't come on. Not sure if it is the batteries or if the device has stopped working. Any recommendations for one of these that will work with rechareable batteries? Thanks.
