It really didn't matter what I thought, she LOVED them.

Not as advertised! PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING!NOT AS ADVERTISED :Just for some context, I bought 5 of these for my bridesmaid, so it’s not just a 1 time off issue. And I went with these because they came with such a nice box that I thought it would be a really sweet gift and keepsake for my bridesmaids that would also protect and extend the longevity of the pearls. But as soon as you open it, you can see that it’s the wrong box for the this size of necklace. Which really kills the effect and can damage the pearls. Also, the necklace is supposed to be 20 inches long and it’s closer to 18 with the clap ( see picture).DEVILS IN THE DETAILS:Also, they were just so many small detail problems. Like some of them weren’t even put in the box properly. ( see the picture where the necklace was not slid underneath the stretchy string that’s meant to keep it in place. And you definitely need to check every set first before gifting them cause they were not boxed or handled with care. Half of the clasps came undone on the necklaces and the earrings were out of place and floating in the box. And it breaks my heart that the pearls necklace isn’t sitting in the groove made for it because it’s the wrong size box for this size necklace, which means the pearls can rub against each other and get damaged and can cause the silk string they use to string the pearls to bend all over the place and break ( see pictures).I will say, however, that the bracelet fits the box properly and is the correct size according to the item description too. Also, the boxes are not made well. They came with the velvet already broken and cracked on the class part of the box. And one of the boxes earrings are off-center So it doesn’t align with the bracelet etc. The affect comes off as looking cheap and all these things really take away from the fact that they are nice pearls!I’m really so sad that these didn’t come as advertised because everything about the jewelry itself is fine. I used to string pearls for sorority and graduation gifts when I was younger. So I can tell that the clasps are good and are stamped with 925 showing they are silver, and that they are real pearls. (Test this by putting them to your cheek, they will be naturally cold even over time and they are never perfectly round.) It’s also thoughtful that they included both clear plastic backings and extra metal backing for the earrings.But the overall effect is lost if you are giving these as a gift. 💔
