A nearly perfect, low cost, high quality hair dryer
I've now purchased a total of 4 of these over the last several years. A couple from Amazon, one from eBay, and one from TJMaxx. All are different colors to keep the family from quarreling. They're all Conair 3Q's, which originally retailed for nearly $200 when the design was new. I waited.Pros:Motor is brushless. If you don't know what this is, google it.Multiple heat settings, including a no-heat selection.Quality build. Not too noisy.Cons:It could be quieter with refinement the internal airflow and proper balancing. But that costs time which equals money.Air intake is ONLY at the very back. (With the massive airflow these produce that can be an irritation. It does have a filter and a another mesh grid behind the filter - which is good).I'd mentioned I have 4 of these; one for my wife, one for each daughter, and one for yours truly. I purchased this model for durability and longevity. Each of my wife and daughters have burned through their previous hairdryers, which were not cheap. Over time each of their hairdryers eventually began having bearing or brushing, (not sure which) issues. This means the air flow got worse, the heat got hotter, and the noise more whiny. We'd cleaned them routinely as you're supposed to, but to no avail. They just wore out. After spending hundreds on high-end hairdryers I wasn't keen on doing it again. This time I bought these Conair 3Qs with the brushless motors. The oldest one I have now is about 3 years old and still working perfectly. How much do these hair dryers get used? Sometimes they're on for more than 1 hour at a time, sometimes several times a week. These little beauties help some of my little beauties fall asleep. (no heat/low heat settings - genius).I'm a big fan.

Probably the quietest high-speed hair dryer.
This is probably the quietest AC high-speed hair dryer I've ever used, and I've used a lot! In form, it's lightweight and very attractive; in function, the heat settings are just the right temperature and the cold setting has it's own "button," so you don't have to keep holding it down (a huge plus for warm weather!) It comes with a silicone mat to set it down on, so it doesn't move all over the counter, which has proved to be an unexpected, but invaluable feature. The motor is "brushless" for longevity and the volume of air it puts out makes very short work of actual hair drying. High-volume dryers can sometimes make a tangle of long hair (like mine), but it doesn't take long to figure out which drying angles are the best for eliminating that particular problem: I comb out, divide in half and blow back to front, then down. It's a great hair dryer and again, quiet. In actual use, the pitch of the motor is very "un-whiney" and non-grating to the ear. A terrific hair dryer!

Best hair dryer purchase yet
Bought this for my 10 yr old and she has thick hair and uses a lot of products and it works amazing. The extras that came with it were very nice and needed. Doesn’t get to hot to dry out her hair. Now I want one for myself

I wanted to love it :(
I really liked the dryer but it quit working under 2 years. I've never had a blow dryer die on me that quick. Also the cord was a pain with extra fabric on it. It constantly got stuck on things.

Very nice hair dryer
This is a quality hair dryer. It is beautiful and nicely made. It has a strong motor. It dries my hair so much faster than any I've had before.

Mixed feelings
It’s an ok hairdryer. I think I was expecting more in my mind as a limited edition series. The output was pretty mediocre, very much like the lower end conair hairdryers that are less $. For me it toooook forever to dry my hair with this. My hair Is long 2C type of hair that either stays curly like or goes wavy. Personally, this prob won’t be my go to hairdryer. It might end up in the guest bedroom type of hairdryer since I don’t have the “time” to dry my hair and deal with a needy toddler. I also find it kinda dated looking, but I’m giving them a pass since I’m not sure if they were thing to keep the style that way of an iconic model design from previous generations. It’s close to 3.5 stars.

Would not recommend this product even though I like Conair and my last hairdryer is a Conair.
The Hi setting is very high air flow and the Lo setting is slightly less higher air flow. I didn’t test the Cool or Warm settings because the Hot setting was barely warm. I’ve never had so many tangles in trying to blow dry my hair before. My hair is naturally slightly wavy.
