Takes My Native American Flutes to a Whole New Level of Fine Craftsmanship
This is what I really needed to truly highlight the beauty of my handcrafted flutes. Works great on my smaller entry level lathe and was easy to setup. Make sure and follow the instructions to briefly run each wheel against sand-paper to remove most of the loose threads or you will have them all over your shop, I followed this advice and they worked great. They are kind of close together, but no problem and I just polish my flutes in more of a vertical position which is following the grain anyway which really is what you want. Great item, good quality and at a fair price, I will definitely buy them again when they need replacing. Thank you Beall!

I am not one to write reviews
I am not one to ever write reviews, but I must say this product is freaken awesome! I expected mediocre results, but not this much increase in level of quality on my wood turning pieces. Highly recommended!

Good price for this set
Great for polishing bowls. Getting the set of three limits using the side of the wheels so challenging to finish bowls that are not shallow.

Works great!
This buffing system is a game-changer. After installing it, I grabbed a few of my completed pieces and went to town buffing. The results are quite impressive. NOTE: They (the instructions) aren't kidding when they suggest having a shop vac ready to suck up all of the fibers that will be coming off the buffing wheels when you first use it. I didn't take that advice and paid the price with having to clean up large quantities of fibers and dust going everywhere when I first started to load the wheels with the polishing compounds. The wheels are a bit close together as other reviewers have stated, but is mostly maneuverable as long as you're paying attention.

The buffing system works great!. However using Amazon to purchase and ship ...
The buffing system works great!. However using Amazon to purchase and ship the product was a big mistake. Instead of receiving the Beall buffing system I was sent a gallon of paint. I had to go to my local Woodcraft Store in order to actually purchase the Beall Buffing mandrel and the buffing pads. For buffing smaller woodworking items the Beall System works exceptionally well. Otherwise the buffing pads are a little too close together to enable you to buff a larger object. To do so you have to only use one buffing pad at a time on the mandrel so that you dont run into the adjacent pad when using the various buffing compunds.

Very nice and the perfect way to polish acrylics, plastics, and metals to a high gloss.
This is a quality product, well built, and comes with good compounds to use on the wheels. It is my preferred means of polishing acrylic, plastics, metals to a high polish. The mt2 on one end and my live center on the other, this unit makes short work of polishing. When I’m not turning on my lathe I usually just leave this on it all the time (covered up to avoid dust) so it is available for a quick buff of something I’m making. It assembles and attaches quickly, so it’s not a pain to take on and off.

Wheels too close. I'll give it 4 stars after I rig it to be more functional
The product does a good job on the finish. However, The 3 wheel are too close together making it hard to not be hitting the other wheels with either your fingers or the pen etc if it's more than a few inches long. I ended up taking off one of the wheels so I could separate the remaining two wheels to something a bit more reasonable. I think this setup would be better with a longer rod and the extension of the lathe. I'll end up doing my finishes by hand on the lathe until I get the table extension then I'll rig up my own long bar so I can use the wheels. Also, be aware that the wheel will threw off a ton of the cotton material when I first prepped it. Not a big deal over time but was raining cloth at first.
