Sharp! Be careful!!
The media could not be loaded. I bought these because the reviews were great. And they are absolutely sharp which is what you want. Please use the guard. I thought I was being super careful. I clipped the toenails of one dog fine without any problem. Got to my German Shepherd, and the first one, she yelped and bled. I felt absolutely horrible. I just barely snipped the end, but she jerked her paw back.I will be leaving this to the professionals from now on. I can do my smaller dog,Not my GSD. The bigger dogs are harder!Great product, one thing it does for sure is slices right through nails, without a loud, snapping noise. Making it quicker and easier and less stressful on the dog. There’s no loud noise or snapping noises. Great product!I apologized and loved on my sweet GERMAN SHEPHERD! I was consoling her, she eas consoling me. I wouldn’t hurt my fur babies or any living thing on purpose. She is fine, but it scared us both! Be careful. USE GUARD! It gives plenty of room for nipping end of nails.Do a tiny bit at a time. Especially if the nail bed has grown out. I didn’t realize the cuticle grew out with it. I have learned the hard way. Snip a bit, then wait a couple weeks for cuticle to draw back. I will be taking her to the vet and letting them do it. I thought about using the file, but she says skittish anyway. And I will be sure to tell them to be careful as well. I absolutely couldn’t have taken more than 1/8 off and she jerked back. I thought she was just being dramatic but apparently I was wrong. There was a good bit of 🩸 and ai felt like the biggest piece of trash! Anyway, us ever wants to hurt our animals. That’s why I stress that you use the guard because I did not. I was careful with the first dog, and apparently the second one was a whole different circumstance.

Perfect for anxious Bulldog as well as energetic Lab
We have an English Bulldog and an English Cream Lab who in the past had both been hesitant about getting their nails clipped, and to the point that I simply left the task to the vet. We've tried many different clippers over time and then recently came across these. Long and short of it, PERFECT! Clean cut with no crunching!! Smooth and sharp, and the guide is a great addition as well. After incrementally getting them used to seeing and experiencing the clippers one nail at a time we are now to the point of it not being a problem for either dog. The cut is clean and quick and has minimal noise and neither dog cares at all about getting their nails clipped. In fact, it is now quite the opposite... They both love being fussed over. So yeah, I highly recommend these for any dog that has anxiety toward getting their nails clipped, and I recommend approaching one nail at a time and then incrementally increasing the workload until the dog becomes accustomed to things.

It’s very sharp and sturdy!
It’s a great quality product. Very sharp - so easy to cut the nails! my dog loves it, because it’s quicker than the previous one. It’s inexpensive for the quality. It doesn’t get rusty. It’s very sturdy in your hands doesn’t wiggle or anything. works as it should. The material is very good and solid.

Great trimmer. Sharp, sturdy, smooth.
I love this trimmer. It folds up nice and compact and it is surprisingly well made in an age of disposable everything. My GSD quickly became more comfortable with nail clipping sessions once I got this.I wish the guard was adjustable, but it’s just either there or not there. The first time I cut her nail with it I just barely clipped her quick, just enough to hurt and draw a bead of blood. If the guard could be shortened depending on how much you expect to cut, that would be tremendously useful. The guard is on a swivel, so it seems possible to make two or three of them on the same swivel for cutting different lengths.Just a thought :)I have since learned much more about trimming so that doesn’t happen again and my GSD’s days of clicking on the wood floors are over!

A must-have for large dogs
With two Irish Wolfhounds and two Golden Retrievers, we need strong nail trimmers that will stay sharp. These cut through the nail in one squeeze, without crushing the nail or causing the dogs to pull their paws back. They also have a guard that ensures you won’t cut the nail too short and cause pain and bleeding - or leave the nails too long. The one downside is their size. People with short fingers or small hands might have a difficult time. They’re almost too big for me, but I’ve gotten used to them with time and practice.

BUYER BEWARE
Buyers be informed and be aware. I'm giving these clippers ONE STAR only because they are indeed "nail clippers". Otherwise, the item title and description are 100% DECEPTIVE and I can't help but wonder if that is intentional in order to boost sales. If you truly have an anxiety-sensitive dog, you NEED to know that these clippers are NO DIFFERENT than any other set of clippers on the market. These are definitely no quieter than any other set of nail clippers on the market. As for sharpness, they're no more sharper than any other set of nail clippers on the market. Save your money and avoid buying this deceptive product, and invest in a professional set of grooming clippers that surely are quieter, and sharper, than these. Do not let the title deceive you. This is not an anxiety-friendly product as it so claims otherwise. A note for Amazon: You were a once trusted retailer. But as of late, I'd say in the last 5 years, your standards have plummeted. You're allowing any and all 'sellers' enter your format. You're allowing any and all 'products' to be sold on your format. Descriptions are not being checked, nor are titles. And many, many brand name items that are 'on sale' happen to be irregular or faulty in some manner, which NEEDS to be listed in titles / descriptions but never are. You can do better Amazon. Or better yet, return to how you used to be - trusted.
