I never had this before. I was making a Peruvian Aji verde sauce and it called for this. Wow! I love this! I can see that it can be used for many things. Thanks so much!

I was hesitant to purchase this because of all the reviews mentioning the jar arriving broken but I wanted to get this to make lomo saltado. I am happy with my purchase. The shipping time was very quick. The jar was packaged well and arrived undamaged with the seal intact. I opened the jar to check on the product. The paste is fresh and just as advertised.

This is the authentic stuff! Yes you can go through the somewhat laborious process and make this at home with less "kick" (i.e. spiciness) but this is what my Peruvian sister-in-law uses for Loma Saltado!

Excellent product. The heat level is adjustable depending upon how much is used. The taste is authentic. While it is a bit costly, the quality of the product is worth it. It lasts a long time in the refrigerator after being opened. I primarily use this spice for Peruvian Chicken Stew which is always a hit.

Aji amarillo peppers which are classic Peruvian peppers are ground into a cooking paste and are key ingredient in many classic Peruvian dishes, such as causa rellena, papa a la huancaína, and aji de gallina! The peppers are smallish and yellow in color and have about 30,000-50,000 Scoville units of heat. The paste in this jar is authentic and the pepper paste will enhance your cooking for sure!

Unfortunately, despite the reviews warning, I decided to roll the dice and try and order this product, hoping it would arrive intact. Spoiler: it did not. It was nicely bubble wrapped so I thought it would be a success, but the lid no longer held it's seal and the product was leaking in it's bubble wrap. As noted, there are no returns on this, so my gamble was a failure. From here I'll be ordering a powdered version and will reconstitute it to make my own paste.

This is good, very spicy, and earthier than I expected. I thought it might be a little "fruitier."
