One of the best Lego sets!
I bought this for my grandson and he absolutely loved it! Great instructions and just difficult enough to be fun. We highly recommend this Lego set.

Requested by my Grandson
I bought this for my Grandson, who wrote me a long letter justifying why I should buy him this set. How could I not buy this for him after receiving this:Hi Grandma its CJ,You wanted me to send you the website link, well here it is. But before you click on it, there are a few things I want you to know about why I want this set. Because you should always have a reason why you want or need something right? Well, here are a few of them for this set.Why I would like this set:#1 This set is educational: It may not seem like a toy could be educational, but it’s true. And this set is one of those educational sets. First of all, once you look at it, you will notice that it has a very Japanese/ Chinese look to it. (Mostly Japanese). This set is filled with amazing architecttural detail from both cultures on the other side of the Earth. And better yet, I am taking Japanese in school. (And I’m pretty good at it) For example: konichiwa onamei wa nan desuka. Boku no namei wa Calvinjo desu. Translation: Hello, what is your name? My name is Calvinjo. And that is just the begining. But I’m getting off topic. This set could improve my Japanese culture skills by just examining the detail and art style of this ship, allowing me to learn more outside of school, and over the summer. Also, my dad lives in Japan, which gives right now a perfect oppertunity to enhance my cultural skills from both Japan and China.#2 The price is right: If you look at the piece count, compared to the price, You can see that it is a good deal. The # of pieces is 2295, and the price is $160. Normally, a set that has that number of pieces would be like $200-$220. So this set is a great deal for what you get.#3 More space in room: You may have noticed that some furniture was outside. Those were originally in my room. I just made more space in my room so I could get around easier. It also added more space for this set.OK, I'm done. Also, thanks so much for letting me stay at your house. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071L9VBPT/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I2F82AKMIPUU3Q&colid=1NQJ6QZ8NPWCGLove, CJ

Nice set.
Not for the faint of heart. It's a large model and easy to take mis steps here or there. The room details are awesome the exposed deck is a bit plain and I would have liked more colors and textures. You mostly work with brown and tan for everything so that got kinda boring but that's a personal preference! It has to be based on the show so they couldn't be creative with things like textures and colors. It's a great display piece!

Truly Epic in Scale & Detail
Love finding the epic toy that will make my boys' jaws hit the floor. Love even more that it's loaded with charming details and a boat full of figures -- every ninja on the team! This is a PROJECT. Spent all of New Years weekend assembling it and drafted my boys one at a time to help fit it together. Have to stay on quality control there as a parent since a few missteps and you'll lose an hour backtracking to fix it. But the thing is gorgeous, solid, and did I mention the details? There's a little toilet with TP roll in the lower level (below decks) as well as a bed in which you can actually "tuck in" Lego figures beneath the bedspread. There are hidden compartments for weapons. The dragons' mouths on the bow open and close. The dangling lanterns and ballast and fabric sales just add a magical realism to the kids playtime. This was a whopper as far as the Christmas budget (imagine if it had the 30% Star Wars markup), but just loaded with fun.

What a doozy!
This is perhaps the most intricate Lego set we've had in some 18 years of buying Legos (not counting when I was a kid myself of course.) It took my then 7 year old several sessions spread out over days to complete it, and he was happy for some adult help now and then, though I'd say he still put 80% of it together himself and simply given more time and patience, someone with a few years of Lego-building skills could complete this on their own as well, should their parents not enjoy Legos as much as my sons. :) The end result was a fairly massive ship that was fun to play with, but my son opted to leave it at his grandfather's home in Florida versus bringing it back home to Colorado with us, and it was nice enough that gramps (who has a pretty fancy FL house) thought it was worthy of being up on the mantle with his more sophisticated model boats.

One of the all time great Lego Ships. Pirate or other.
This is easily not only one of the years best Lego sets, but the years best Ship set. The best Pirate ship we have seen for years. It is roughly the same size as and compares favorably with the sainted Imperial Flagship D2C set from a few years back (now commanding 4 figures aftermarket). As a stand alone ship it is a fantastic buildWith detailed below decks and cabind, Hundreds of little details such as Wu's herb and tea gardens on board. It would be the best set of 2017 if the Ninjago City hadn't released. Now here is where it gets interestingYou can use two sets to combine to make a longer super detailed ship with much more interesting cabins. There are some youtube videos that show how to easily do it using just two kitsThis is now the pride of my Lego ship collection.

If you like the Modular sets you'll like this
I don't know anything about Ninjago as a movie, or tv show or whatever it is, but the Lego sets are fantastic if you like the Architecture series or the Creator Expert Modular buildings. The Ninjago City is awesome and Destiny's Bounty looks great next to it. There was one wrong piece. A 4x1 that should have studs was replaced with one that was smooth, but it did not effect the build, which was fun. On to the City Docks!

This is a MASSIVE Lego set. My 10 year old nephew is working on it and doing a great job at it but it's a HUGE undertaking for a kid. To me this is more suitable for an adult who loves puzzles and putting together models.

The best Lego set for my son so far.
This was a Christmas present for my 6 year old son, he is very happy with it. I had to help him assemble as it is a large model, the 2 of us assembled over 2 days, probably around 8 hours build time for us. It looks great and it is a fairly solid build. Probably 8 and up can do it alone. It is still mostly together 4 months later with him playing with it often.

Excelente set!

Great looking, fun building and cheap gigantic ship.
Lot of details, cheap at the moment for such a gigantic build. Bought to have fun 30 years later and to pass on to my childs at some point. Looks great on a shelf for the moment.
