This was a Christmas gift for my 8 year old granddaughter and she is still having fun with it and loves it. She began with just drawing designs and pinning pieces together. Now I am teaching her and she is beginning to sew them with needle and thread.So this is not a product for beginners but it was not intended to be that; she is only 8 years old. It's a perfect product for my granddaughter especially thanks to the design ideas book. She was inspired by the pictures and began to draw her own. Now it's her opportunity for her to learn sewing from her grandma, as my daughter was never interested and didn't learn the skill, so she can't teach her.

My 9 year old is a fashion lover. She has been asking for a full sewing kit and fabric for a while now. When I saw this kit, I knew it would be a perfect introductory tool for her fashion designing. The kit included most of what you'd need except our kit did not have the fabric tape that should have been included. The instructions were useless so we used our imaginations and looked up tutorials online. She worked on this for hours straight and had so much fun creating designs and dresses. She already asked if she can buy these for her girlfriends for the holidays. If you have a kiddo that loves fashion and wants to use their imagination- this is a MUST have item.

The material used in this kit had frayed edges, and there were only 3 mannequins which had a thing in the back to shove the material into, so that you couldn't even take the dresses off when you were done. We wanted to make dresses for barbies, but guess not. Also the material squares weren't big enough to make dresses, especially like the pictures. Disappointed.

My daughter LOVED this set. The fabrics included were great, instructions were simply enough for her to follow along. Lots of extra accessories and embellishments to help her really explore creatively.

Picked this up for my 11 year old niece, thought it would be a good Christmas present. She hasn't learned to sew yet at all. Well soon as her mom seen it, she insisted that it should be tested before giving it to her. (that was her excuse anyway).A few hours later, they both think they are High Fashion Designers. I Do not know who likes it more, my 11 year old niece or her 36 year old mother. Looks like my Niece just received an early Christmas present.I had to hide the other gifts before my niece seen them as her mom was to busy being a child again. She was not interested in the other gifts, she would wrap them laterIt is very open to creativity and can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. Has over 400+ pieces of material and lots of accessories. To many to list here.The next day, they would not stop showing me their creations. Even bugging me during the game. At least they liked it and I have learned a few lessens.Lessen learned. Drop off gifts and leave. Do not give it to her mother to wrap for Christmas. Looks like I have to find more gifts now and keep her mom away this time.[Packaging & Delivery:] The packaging is as expected and arrived without incident. Delivery was fast and as promised.Highly Recommend. Well worth the price. All in all I am very happy. I am comfortable with the 5 stars. I have no problem recommending this Sewing Craft Kit or the seller.(I should knock off stars due to them bugging me during the game, to show me their so called High Fashion designs)
