This is the only thing that has actually worked so far after trying many products. You will have to dispatch anything caught in this yourself, but it actually catches and keeps it in the cage. The design is simple by effective and seems to be fully galvanized so I expect it not to rust and will continue to work for years to come. It's made from hardware cloth and the most recent version has a solid metal door. I will be buying more of these and can recommend to anyone looking for a quality rat trap.

This is the perfect size for catching mice or rats, and even better - it just works. One day after receiving it the chubby rat minding my raised bed tomato patch was apprehended. Minutes later we transported him/her to a nearby forest, where I hope they lives out their days reminiscing over the good times at tomato field.The only improvement I'd suggest is to include a carry handle, without which care must be taken not to be scratched or bitten by your terrified rodent captive.

The trap works well and trapped my first chipmunk in about an hour. It is lightly built but adequate for the small rodents it is designed to trap. It could benefit from carrying handles to allow one to carry a full trap without having to hold the sides directly and exposing fingers to sharp rodent teeth. Also, I was surprised to find the trap I received had been used prior to my purchase. It had what appeared to be old peanut butter dripping off the trigger plate (see photo). I had assumed, as it was not advertised as used, that it was a new trap. I took off a star for that.

Well this trap looks like it will work great, once I find the right bait for it. I've set it and tripped it. It is easy to use and works well. It's a good deal for the price!

I purchased this Rat Trap hoping for a quick and humane solution to a rodent problem, but these traps turned out to be completely ineffective. The trigger mechanism is either too stiff or too loose — I had to reset the trap multiple times because it would either go off on its own or not trigger at all, even when the bait was gone.Build quality is also disappointing. The plastic feels brittle and flimsy, and after just a couple of uses, one of the traps broke completely. The bait cup is shallow and difficult to fill without getting your fingers too close to the snap mechanism, which feels unsafe.Despite setting up several traps around the house, they failed to catch anything — the rodents seemed to outsmart them easily. Overall, these traps were a waste of time and money. I do not recommend them if you're looking for something reliable.

Maybe the 🐀 rats are smarter than other places they will walk all around it but won’t go into the trap, built good and the trigger seems to work ok, easy to set up, nice and light weight but they want nothing to do with it no matter what bait we use ,

This product works really well and I've captured more than half a dozen rats with it. The only downside is rats are very smart and the larger ones rarely fall for this. You have to get creative on bait placement The rat in my photo spent over an hour going in and out of the trap before it finally went in far enough to trigger the door release.

Bought the small size. Plenty big enough for the chipmunk that was in my house. Would be plenty big for mice, big enough for a rat, maybe on the edge of big enough for a squirrel. Worked like a charm! Easy to set up, caught the chipmunk within 12 hours, that had been evading my other efforts for 5 days. Chipmunk unharmed, and it was easy to open the door and release it into the wild.
