I've been collecting, repairing and modifying watches for a long time. The short review for those of you who just want a watch that looks good, looks expensive but isn't, keeps good time and you're not really bothered by substance then this is the watch for you.However if you want a good watch rather than a good "looking" watch, look somewhere else. The upside is that it keeps good time, it's quartz so that's to be expected unless the battery is dying. The blue sunburst dial with date complication is pleasant as are the hands. Everything else I would throw in the bin. I immediately changed the bracelet for a blue leather strap which not only looks better but probably doubles the value of the watch. The supplied bracelet and clasp are cheap and nasty beyond words. The watch case is pleasant but being high polished will scratch very easily and is very thin and lightweight.In conclusion if looks are more important than substance buy the watch. If you want something of more substance spend your £40 on a Casio or Accurist. Alternatively save up and for £80 get a Seiko.

The time and date don't change automatically, I have to wind them manually. the watch was advertised with luminous hands (glow-in-the-dark) however, they don't!!

The watch is beautiful and very stylish, exactly what I ordered but I ordered as a gift and it doesn’t look right, flat rectangular box it should be a very proper watch box especially when it’s a gift. The box makes the gift look cheap

Fixing the size by removing pieces is nervewrecking. The tool provided is made out of plastic and works when removing the pin, but not when pushing is back. For that you need a hammer. The tool screw turns wild and is useless.

neither my wife nor I could cope with fiddly turning of mechanism to alter day and date; physical restraints of the body of the watch made it worse. It also did not keep time, losing about 3 mins every two days - not what you want for a time keeping device! I returned it and bought a proper watch.
