Here in our new/old New England home, we're awash in Golden/American and Purple Finches in quantities I've never seen before. They sure do wolf down the Nyger thistle.This Kaytee 20-pound package is the most cost effective and dependable way I've found for keeping our finches happy, fat, and close.Delivery is always very fast.

I used to see a pair of finches swing by, look around but never really spend time in my yard. So I got a finch feeder and nyjer seed. The pair on their next visit started feeding. Then there were 3 pairs, within a couple days 6 or 7 pairs, red, yellow finches were swarming around the feeder. All the activity brought Robins who decided to take residence and nest though they prefer feeding on worms and grubs on the ground. Recommend this seed.

The little yellow breasted finches love the nyjer seed and come multiple times a day to feast. The 20 pound sack is the most cost effective way to feed the flock.

For some reason this last bag I received the birds don't seem to like it, normally it takes a week for them to empty out my five thistle sacks but this is going on two weeks and they're still over half full. This is the first time I've ever had the birds refuse to eat the thistle

I like this seed. It doesn't sprout plants under the bird feeder, and it attracts goldfinches which I never see otherwise. Unfortunately, the birds seem to prefer other foods around here, since as sunflower and safflower seeds... I wish they weren't so dang picky.

I've ordered Nyjer/Thisle seed from several places. This is the best price I've found so far. However, this seed is not "as clean" as the more expensive brand and it is a real mess when filling feeders. My little cuties (goldfinches) love the seed whether it's clean or not. Just depends what your priorities are. The OTHER brand of seed got 5 stars.

The finches really like this seed. It came on time. I like the 20 lb. bag The box it came in was too big for only one bag.
