4.5 STARS - fits nicely and keeps your phone close at hand (and looks super custom!)
Overall this thing is just what I wanted - something to keep my phone close at hand for navigation etc. and something that didn't kill a cupholder, look tacky, or was difficult to use. This did all of that. It is comprised of 2 parts - the wedge/base/ball socket part and the cradle (actual phone holder part with the socket that mounts to the wedge/ball joint). It does a very nice job of wedging into the spot on your dash between the gauge pod and the factory navigation screen (2022 Highlander Platinum). It comes with some double-sided tape on the back that I have yet to even apply. I think as long as you jam the wedge piece in well and you're gentle pulling the phone in/out it would take a pretty large bump to jar your phone out.If I had one knock it would be the actual cradle part of it. If you watch the video it is SUPER slow to open and in my case requires me to hold the release button for a few seconds to get the jaws to open wide enough to remove my phone. That said I have another cradle (which is of a higher quality) that mounts right on the ball socket this mount comes with and have since swapped to that cradle. The wedge itself is in my opinion worth the $21 I paid (tax included) just for the placement on the dash, factory look and functionality of it all.Hope this helps! I didn't get any benefit for writing this, just wanted to help fellow Highlander owners - if it was helpful please click the button below.

8” touch screen is too small for wedge
If you have the 8 inch touchscreen such as in the limited or lower trim then the wedge shape is too narrow to nestle behind the touchscreen. It still fits the contours of the dashboard and can be used but it doesn’t have the benefit of being held in as well by the touchscreen. It appears that the wedge shape was specifically designed for the platinum trim but the larger 12 inch touchscreen. Since my guess is that most folks do not have the platinum trim or the 12 inch screen this is unfortunate. It does come with a role of adhesive tape which I will try to use to attach it. Although I’m not sure how long it will stay attached because there is no wedge holding it in place on the right side.

Great Design
Fits perfectly in the wedge between dashboard and display screen. I have a 2022 Highlander Platinum, prior to receiving the Phone Holder i was skeptic where it would attach, i did not want a device that would sit on top of the dashboard, but this was perfectly shaped to take advantage the curves in the dashboard. I have an iPhone 13Pro, so quite large, and this holds it fine. The positioning does not block view of the dash nor the display is blocked. Because of the wedge it sits in, i drove around the first few times without taking the backing off the tape, gravity held it in place perfectly. Highly recommend!

Fits like a glove
The product is designed very well and fits right into the space between the screen instrument panel. We didn't have to use the adhesive and it seems to hold very well. The only downside is that the phone sits a little bit low for by the steering wheel. We did switch out the phone holder to one we already had because the one sent with it seems kind of cheap and the one we had was much better. Overall, it does its purpose and holds the phone without using a vent, cupholder or sticking to dash or windshield. It was the best for what we wanted.

A no no for toyota rav4
Part fits correctly but has 2 mayor problems: first its way to flimsy, phone moves all the time even when just using the car in perfect pavement. (Used it off road, horrible). Second, it gets in the way of radio screen and AC/Heater controls. Personally think is too intrusive and dangerous for important car systems controls and horrible to se phone dancing every time when car is moving.
