Gettin' Bizzy with the Fizzy
Fantastic. I've not had a Soda stream for around 20 years, but really fancied another. They've come a long way since then and seem to be a lot more efficient with the gas. I also like the way you can send the gas bottles off to refill / get new ones through and return within so many days the empty one. Luckily for me, I have several stockists nearby, but have also invested in a load of syrups (all sugar free). I've found this easy to use over the older ones. Simply fit the bottoel in and press the button. 5 times seems to hit the spot for us, but I've always loved how you can make the fizz to a level that suits you. This was good value for ยฃ52 at the time of review. You get the machine, a bottle and gas bottle. The bottles easily fit inside to fix and are clearly marked up for syrip levels, but you can make them whatever strength you like. This looks really modern and the design is simple. This will save a load of plastic and drinks cans in our recycling g each fortnight. The whole thing seems durable, including the gas bottle. Definitely well recommended whilst on offer. I'm now on a hunt to try all the flavours.

Easy to set up and get going. Cames with the mechanism, a gas bottle and a large soda stream bottle to mix your drinks.

Great money saving product
Wasnโt sure if weโd actually use this much, but now weโre totally hooked. Super easy to set up โ literally just click the gas canister in and you're good to go. The Terra version doesnโt need to be plugged in, so it just lives on our kitchen counter without taking up too much space or needing a power point. The fizz is decent too โ you can control how fizzy you want it which is a nice touch. I usually go for two presses and itโs perfect. We mostly use it for sparkling water, but itโs saved us a fortune on fizzy drinks in general. Also feels a bit better than constantly buying plastic bottles. Only slight niggle is that you have to use the official bottles, which are fine but a bit chunky in the fridge. And the gas cylinders donโt last forever, so you do need to keep an eye out for refills or swap deals. Overall though, itโs been brilliant. If you like fizzy water or want to cut back on shop-bought drinks, itโs totally worth it. Didnโt expect to love it this much!

A must have kitchen accessory
I do love my soda stream, great taste, multiple choices of syrup the gas life is surprising long given how much I use it. It looks nice and smart in the kitchen and is small in size so perfect for smaller kitchens. Build quality wise I canโt fault it, Iโve had no technical issues with it and really like that as the canister fits into the back of it and it requires no power to use I can put it anywhere without having to worry about plugs and cables. Pro tip, fill your bottles with water and pop them in the fridge, cold water will hold more co2 than warmer water so you get that extra fizz. Perfect for the hot summer days. Gas refill wise itโs super easy, take your empty canisters to a local exchange shop pick up a new canister and you get a discounted price (normally about ยฃ10 off). Alternatively you can sign up to the soda stream subscription service and theyโll send you canisters of gas and take your old ones back.

I love love this machine. I have purchased extras (bottles and gas) and found a local shop which sells the flavours. We are less than a week in and it has been used every day! The bottle provided is great. It holds quite a large amount and doesn't feel flimsy at all. It also doesnt give that really plastic like look or smell that others do. We use 3-5 burst of gas as per the instructions and found it makes the drinks the rignt amount of fizzy. The bottles also do well sitting jn the fridge

Use it for re-fizzing soft drinks
It warns you in the instructions that you should not fizz up anything but water. I of course completely ignored this. I bought it with the sole purpose of re-fizzing soft drinks. And it does it PERFECTLY! I like to buy the big 2L bottles of soft drinks as it is more economical. Of course, once you open them, they can lose their fizz after a few days by the time you feel like another drink. Some bits of advice for anyone who would like to do what I do. -The small 500ml bottles need 2.5 seconds of gas in order to be adequately fizzed to the same degree as the original fresh carbonated drink. The large 1L bottle needs about 5 seconds. -Avoid over fizzing. If you do this, your drink will taste more like acid, overpowering the taste of your drink. -Apply the gas in 1 second depressions and WAIT each time until the drink settles before applying the next squirt. This can take as long as 30 seconds. Ideally you want all the carbon dioxide to dissolve into the drink to the extent you see NO frothing at the top of the drink. If you over gas then you risk the pressure being too great in the bottle and some carbon dioxide gas (that you have paid for) will seep/escape out the top. -As soon as you extract the carbonated drink from the machine IMMEDIATELY screw the top on, to prevent any escape of carbon dioxide. Ideally you want all the gas to remain in the bottle, perhaps even a little floating in the air just above the drink and below the bottle top. -Keep your sodastream bottles in the fridge before use. Carbon dioxide dissolves into water better at lower temperatures. -The line on the bottles is the MINIMUM level of drink you must put in. You can go above this; though the more you pour in, the greater pressure will accumulate in the small space of air when you carbonate, increasing risk of gaseous escape (wasting carbon dioxide). -The more you use the device, the better you will get at it. I never got things right until after my first 2 or 3 drinks. -Clean the lance and bottle holder with water immediately afterwards to ensure none of the drink dries into the working parts. A handheld schooshy water thingy (technical term of course), like used to water plants works well for me. -Pour your drinks into your glass SLOWLY at a shallow angle. In doing so, less carbon dioxide will escape, retaining the fizz for drinking. Yes, itโs fun, pouring a fizzy drink into tall glass as fast as you can and watching (and listening) as all the bubbles escape and froth collects at the top. All thatโs happening is you are LOSING a load of the carbon dioxide gas (that you paid for) to the air. Carbon dioxide un-dissolves from water easily with energy (shaking or quick handling). Ideally you want to pour the drink with as much of the carbon dioxide retained so that itโll be the heat energy from your mouth that un-dissolves the bubbles to your delight! Sodastream means that I can enjoy my favourite fizzy drinks fully carbonated even after the original bottle was opened days and days previously. Wish Iโd bought this earlier.

Loving this!!
I was hesitant to buy a soda steam because I'm not a huge fan of sparkling water but I am glad I took the plunge!! I bought a few torani syrups and I haven't had a soda in over 2 weeks!! So far, my favorite drinks are cherry limeade, strawberry lemonade and apple kiwi. I also love the peach! This is a game changer for me and I'm actually getting my recommended amount of daily water intake (I buy the sugar free syrups to avoid extra calories) It's easy to use and seems solidly built and I love the fact that I don't need an outlet!

Does what expected
Cordless sparkling water device. Easy to place anywhere you want, easy to assemble and disassemble the gas and clear instructions. The end result, you have your sparkling water exactly has you wish. A tip, buy just a spare gas can because you can refill them at your local store (that has gas fillers). I bought 2 spare ones and it's not necessary, one is good enough to be switching once one is done.
