Good, basic star map poster
I used this in a small presentation where I wanted to communicate the idea of the "fixed stars." The context was that the ancients were very familiar with the fixed stars and mystified by the "wandering stars" which they gave the names Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter. The latter moved about from night to night relative to the fixed stars. The mystery of this persisted for millenia, but led eventually to our modern science through the works of Copernicus, Keppler, Newton and Einstein. One of the modern tragedies is that most people in the world today have never seen the fixed stars in all their glory due to the scourge of light pollution. The poster was great for my presentation. I placed it on a table and used pennies to communicate the idea of the wandering stars. The poster is of high quality and would also be great for framing.
