Perfect fit - Perfect cho8ce.
This is the fourth pair of these Merrell Moab hiking shoes my husband has had, 2 pairs having been purchased recently. His first pair only now being relegated to walking the dog in dry weather having sprung a slight leak following very heavy rain fall. He wears them every day and they have been verbally approved by his Consultant, following recent foot surgery. They allow got a slightly wider fit and have a very good grip of all surfaces. They are extremely hard wearing and he has found them really comfortable, whether walking the dog or simply using for every day use. Making his purchase on Amazon has proved to be good value for money. They have proved to be a good fit for him, in his circumstances, and are of excellent quality. Would he recommend, most definitely.

Very comfortable
Hi. I’ve had several pairs of Merrells over the years and thought I’d give these a go. I was going to deduct a star because of the stupid prices they sell at but these were on offer (still overpriced) so I bought them. Price aside these are very comfortable supportive trainers and they look good too. I know some reviewers have found them less than durable and waterproof but mine are wearing well and although I haven’t worn them in a downpour they are waterproof. I only use mine for casual wear and long dog walks but I live in some pretty rough terrain so maybe that counts as hiking. I take a size 9/9.5 and experience of Merrell sizing tells me to order a 10, which I did, and they are a perfect comfortable fit. Incidentally I never wear more than medium weight socks in winter and lightweight in summer and there’s room for either.

Brilliant pair of daps
Size 12 they fit like a glove. Comfortable while walking. I wear size 11 shoes normally, with hiking shoes I suggest you get a larger size.

Good shoe, right out the box
Have been wearing Merrell's for years. Comfy and do the job. These can be worn straight out of the box. I bought this exact pair from Amazon about two years ago. They were starting to get holes in the soles and generally fall apart so it was time to upgrade. But I walk in them literally every day for at least a couple of hours, and more at the weekend. So, I reckon I easily got about 500-600 hours of fairly hard/robust walking out of a pair. While two years seems like a quick turnaround for a pair of shoes, I feel the amount of use I got justifies the price. My go-to day to day walking shoe (and I walk a lot!).

Keep replacing these when they wear out.
4 members of my family wear these for dog walking and replace them when worn out. These were replacements. They are a bit expensive for what they are as they don't seem to last too long, however they are comfortable and that means a lot. Made on the small side. You may have to size up.

Good boots at a very good price..
Just received my Moab 3’s & I’m happy with the whole transaction - including the boots! This is my 3rd pair of the Merrell Moab mid GTX boot so I’m aware of the criticisms regarding these. I bought these for the dryer weather - as much as we get in Scotland, anyway - so I’m well aware of any waterproof issues. I’ve other boots for wet weather. The reason I buy this model is for the comfort & stability on multi day walks - West Highland Way, Coast to Coast, Corfu Trail etc. I’ve never had a blister whilst wearing these. I don’t expect to get much more than 18 months out of them tbh & any more will be a bonus, although my last pair lasted 3 years before the sole unit started detaching from the upper. To be fair, this problem is common for most ‘fabric’ type boots - even those costing much more. This pair came via Amazon from the USA in timely fashion for £70odd but I had a voucher so a brand new pair cost just over £40 which I think is a great deal. Just remember with these boots to go up at least half a size.

You may need to consider going one size up .
Although these are an excellent pair of shoes. I've had to go one full size up . I'm normally a size 11 . Tried both this and the the 11.5. Both were too tight. The size 12 is close to being comfortable.

Excellent hiking shoe.
Bought these for my daughter. She has flat feet and has problems finding shoes that don’t hurt her. She loves these, comfortable, good grip, and no pain.

Waterproof boots
Good waterproof boots. Goretex is the best and the only "waterproof" i trust, and this one is no exception. But the sole of the boot could ve a bit more supportive. The bottom feels hard, and thin. Even with insoles, the bottom is very hard. In the winter, the boot does get a bit cold, especially when the outside of the boot gets wet.
