This garbage disposal air switch works perfectly and was exactly what I needed for my kitchen sink. The finish matches my sink and the rest of my fixtures beautifully, so it looks clean, intentional, and well integrated rather than like an afterthought. Functionally, it performs exactly as it should, responsive, reliable, and very convenient. I love that it eliminates the need to reach into an open cabinet under the sink to access the garbage disposal. Having the switch right on the sink is a huge upgrade, especially for a kitchen island setup. Installation is worth noting, I did need to drill a hole through my granite countertop to install the button, so this isn’t a typical DIY project unless you already have a pre-drilled hole or space available. That said, once installed, everything works flawlessly and feels very solid. Overall, this is a high quality, practical, and sleek addition to any kitchen. It adds both convenience and a polished look to the sink area. I highly recommend it and would absolutely buy it again.

This worked great for me. My current switch for the sink disposal was like 6 feet away and I was done with dripping wet hands across the counters to get there each time I needed it. My sink had a fourth hole pre-drilled in it, so instead of installing a soap dispenser we tried this. Installing it was straightforward and simple. I was concerned the finish wouldn’t match our new faucet, a brushed stainless Moen faucet. As you can see, it matches very well (and saved me lots of $$ to not buy it from Moen). It uses an air hose to activate, and it came pretty long- I may trim it down in the future but for now it’s loosely tied with twist-ties (be careful to NOT pinch the air hose!) So far, it’s working great. My only minor complaint is that the o ring between the stem/top section and my sink hole is not very big, it barely fit. It just took some precise positioning and it still worked, but if your sink has a large hole you might need to get a different o-ring for a good seal.

I am upgrading my kitchen and did not want to add another switch on my backsplash. This works great. Looks good and took about 5 minutes to install in an existing soap dispenser hole in my countertop............ Love this switch so even though it stopped working in 20 months I bought another. it was easy to install the second time and felt it worth spending the money again. So I lowered my rating by one star from 5 to 4

I rarely write reviews. So let this serve as an indicator that I am impressed. I was hesitant on this switch. Some of that is because I think such things are often just a gimmick, or a "nice to have" that actually makes us lazier. Perhaps it could said that it has made me lazier, actually though... I think I use my disposal MORE often now. I was lazier before I got this because reaching up to turn on the toggle switch on the wall was just a bother right? ( Yeah I'm that lazy at times. ) Anyhow, this thing is "air-gapped". And it's great. This means there is zero interaction between electricity, water, and your hand. When you depress the button to turn it on, you can feel the air pocket as if your squeezing a barely inflated balloon. This sensation is very different than what I am used to, so it makes me skeptical about whether or will actually turn the power off. But it does, every time. It just took some getting used to. And I did get used to it. I love pushing the little silver button, letting it run, and then pushing it again to stop. It's not a momentary on switch. It's a toggle style switch. The installation was insanely easy, it was only exasperated by the fact that it was under the sink -- all under sink work is harder of course because of various factors. I don't count that against this device of course. It's necessary. I am very mechanically inclined, have all the tools type of thing. And I say this with the complete newb DIY person in mind. You can definitely install it. Now I already had a spare hole in my sink basin from a previously installed soap pump that we no longer use. So I didn't have to drill another hole. Keep that in mind, you will need to drill one out if you don't already have one. A drill, drill bit, and a large enough stepper bit will be required. But that too is VERY easy. If you have a metallic basin that is. If you have stone or something else, you're on your own. That is slightly more difficult, but still not too bad with diamond hole saws and burrs. As for looks, looks professional. And this is my greatest appreciation of the button above all, and also another reason I was hesitant. I was concerned that like might accidentally activate the switch, or it might get brushed/hit and turned on. I have pet parrots, and they like to play on the sink. I was thinking if they stepped on it, it dropped a toy on it, it may activate. After using it, I can't really see how that would happen. You have to depress the switch about an inch, to an inch and a quarter past the bezel in order to activate it. The further you press it, the harder it gets (it's an air activated switch remember). It feels very natural and satisfying. And the button press has to be intentional. You plug the switch into your existing outlet, and then plug the disposal into the new box - like an outlet expander or extension cord. That box then only turns on when you activate the switch. So in practice, you will leave your old disposal switch "on" all the time. When you want the disposal to come on, you press the switch, then press it again to toggle it off. It's simple and clever. The switch is connected to the toggle device by an air hose. You can sort of adjust the switch functionality dependent upon how long the hose is, and how many turns/loops you leave in it. For me, I just made a mostly straight run from the switch to the box, no loops, I left a little extra length in case it is needed in the future. Take the robe to think about how you will route the air hose connection, the instructions say you want to keep it straight for it to function properly. I advise doing that. But giving yourself a little extra hose so it doesn't bind it kink (like a water hose) is probably a good idea. Buy it, you won't regret it.

This switch is easy easy to install and works great. No more opening the door under the sink to turn on the garbage disposal. Remove the cover plate on the sink. Drop the switch in the hole and tighten. There’s an air tube that runs from the switch to the plug assembly. Plug the tube into the assembly as well as the garbage disposal. That’s it. I used double sided tape to attach the plug assembly to the wall under the sink. The old garbage disposal switch I had to turn off. That’s all there is to it.

I see these in the big box stores for 2x the price. I've only had it installed a month or 2 now, but do not see any longevity issues with it, or at least the potential unless you're one of those people who had the power company run an extra power line into your house to accommodate your 20HP sink mounted body grinder. The cord and vacuum hose length were more than adequate for my 33" cabinet and was able to mount it up high and out of the way in any event of water leaking or accidentally hitting it. Just plug it in, mount it, cut the vacuum line to length and tighten the collar down around it to secure it (I hand tightened this only and no issues, as it's plastic probably wouldn't recommend involving tools in that) My only complaint would be the vacuum button itself. While it looks OK, it is all plastic, I was kind of expecting a metal trim ring and button, so I probably just let myself down this. I have the brushed nickel/stainless finish and it matches my Delta Spotshield Stainless quite well actually. Also, I had the hole drilled into my new granite counter, the button could use to be in a slightly smaller than standard hole or come with a slightly larger gasket so it seals against the counter nicely. If you have a soap dispenser or similar you don't use, this will fit it. I overcame getting a better seal by frustrating the guy at the hardware store until he walked away then I was free to rummage through all the parts bins. A thin O-ring was the best I could do after opening and closing more of those little plastic bins, but coupling that with the provided gasket has given me no issues with the seal. I wish I would've recorded the exact size to post, but then again, that would deprive anyone needing the same of the thrill of that treasure hunt. Overall is well worth it and a nice little low priced gadget to have. No more hoping that switch isn't going to give you a nice joy buzzer shock one day. I still left mine wired just as a safety, but if you know you're going to be using the disposal, just hit the switch and go about your business, you can hit that button whenever you need without worrying if today is the day they find you dead on the floor with the sink running and dishpan hands. BTW - the switch is a toggle - one push on, one off, you don't have to hold it down and you have to push it far enough so there's no way of accidentally turning it on that I can see.

Installed for over a month and works great. Similar item was 3x the price at Home Depot. Super easy to install, low profile, dummy proof. That last part was more for my benefit
