After using the Sony A7IV for a few months, I feel like I can write a review about it. I recently began my photography journey, and I thought this camera would serve as a good entry-level gear. The first thing that struck me was its stunning image quality. The 33-megapixel sensor captures details with incredible clarity, delivering lifelike images that astound me every time.One of the standout features for me is the lightning-fast autofocus. The autofocus and tracking capabilities are phenomenal. Whether I'm shooting portraits or fast-moving subjects, the A7IV locks onto the subject with precision, ensuring every shot is tack-sharp.Video capabilities are also impressive. The 4K recording at 60fps combined with the in-body stabilization produces smooth, professional-grade footage. It's like having a compact cinema camera in your hands.One caveat, however, is the kit lens that comes with the camera. Kit lenses deliver average-quality images (see my sample photos), so keep in mind that you may need to invest in a better lens. But the kit lens does the job.Overall, the Sony A7IV exceeds expectations. Whether you're a professional photographer or an enthusiast looking to elevate your photography game (like me), this camera is a worthy investment. It's versatile, powerful, and a true joy to use. Second a7 iv I've owned and wish I never sold the first after rebuying. Great quality product, better size grip than the 3. Impressive auto focus, 10fps (6fps in uncompressed raw) which is fast enough for me. Not really a beginner camera in terms of ease of use but always something new to discover. Great value with the kit lens, however you will want decent glass to get the most from this camera. Highly recommend

After moving to the Sony FX3 for video, I decided to switch to Sony for photography, and well, wow!This is a fantastic camera, I’m using it currently with the standard f1.8 38mm lens and the f1.4 85mm g-master lens and I’m blown away, even with the “standard lens”, but stick a g master lens and it goes up another 10 notches in image quality.It’s not cheap, but it is very good. The eye tracking is decent and can make it easier to get in focus shots, especially if the subject is moving, I’ve used it with human and dog subjects and it really has performed well.You don’t get much in the box, the charger, a strap and a battery, I opted for body only since I had lenses for the FX3 and wasn’t interested in the kit lens since I mostly use prime lenses.It’s not light by any stretch, but it feels sturdy with a metal housing and exudes quality.It can take a full size SD card (just make site it’s fast enough) and also cfexpress type a cards, so there’s options there as well.

Value for money, quantity and massive amount of lens to choose from.

Quite weighty but a good camera

Works well. Good size and comfortable to use. Focuses well and has facial tracking. ISO good, noise doesn't creep in until around the 5000 mark but noise reduction can easily fix that. Good value for money.

Amazing camera

A word of warning to my fellow photographers and videographers, please do not buy this camera if it is to become a part of your professional income.This camera is not suitable for a professional workflow and will likely cost you money in the long run due to its poor quality overall.It has major build quality issues and feels considerably cheaper than other brands at this price point, with a misaligned media card door, a loose battery compartment door, and a flimsy low quality display to name a few.Worse than all of this, is the completely unforgivable overheating, which renders the camera completely useless in less than 10 minutes of 4k 25fps video recording, if you happen to get a bad unit as I did…This camera will either lose you a client, ruin a job, or simply break down when you need it - costing you more than it’s worth. If you are using cameras to make money at commercial shoots or weddings, I urge you to spend a little extra on something more reliable such as the A7S3 OR consider a brand like Nikon, Panasonic or Canon instead. I’m a Sony shooter and have no bias here at all, but this product is shambolic and I’ve returned mine within 3 days.Save yourself the trouble, please!

Au début, j'ai rencontré un léger problème de chauffe, mais après avoir ajusté un paramètre, le souci a été résolu de manière efficace.La qualité d'image est tout simplement remarquable, avec des détails nets et des couleurs éclatantes. En mode vidéo, la fluidité des séquences et la richesse des détails capturés sont impressionnantes. Le capteur performant associé à une gamme d'objectifs compatibles offre une polyvalence exceptionnelle pour diverses situations de prise de vue.La prise en main est intuitive, et la construction solide du boîtier inspire confiance. Les commandes sont bien disposées, facilitant l'ajustement rapide des paramètres, et l'écran tactile est un atout précieux.Après avoir résolu le problème de chauffe, la performance générale de l'appareil s'est révélée fiable et constante. Impossibile lamentarsene! Scalda un pochino in modalità scatto silenzioso e lo schermo risulta un po’ scomodo se staccato rispetto al corpo macchina ma ci si abitua! Grip ottimo (mi preoccupava molto avendo le mani grandi ed essendo abituato alle reflex) e peso del corpo macchina molto basso rispetto a quello a cui ero abituato. Macchina fantastica sotto ogni punto di vista, dalla messa a fuoco, la stabilizzazione, la resa dell’immagine (anche ad iso alti) a prova di obiettivo in kit: farebbe belle foto anche con un fondo di bottiglia montato sopra!

Super appareil photo à ne pas mettre entre les mains d'un néophyte en photographie qui se limitera au mode "Auto" tellement ses possibilités sans limites sont nombreuses. Il faudra alors passer par le manuel, uniquement téléchargeable, à apprendre par coeur pour en tirer le meilleur. Le manuel d'utilisation fourni n'est pas suffisant et se limite à la mise en route de l'appareil.Mes recherches pour trouver un vrai manuel écrit en français par un expert en la matière ont été vaines, y compris sur Amazon. Si quelqu'un sait où en trouver, je suis preneur.
