This is a great book for beginners just getting started in leather crafting. The authors cover all the basics from what leather is and how to work with it. The book is loaded with high quality color photos and set by step instructions on how to cut, stitch, stamp and die leather. It even covers attaching hardware to finished leather projects; something missing in other books. The only thing lacking is projects and patterns; there are none in this book. One or two projects would have been a nice addition. The book will show you the skills you need to work with leather; what you make is left up to you. One star off for the lack of projects. If you are just getting started, this is the book for you. If you already know the basics; it is still a nice book to refer back to occasionally as a refresher.
