Excellent format, common language and not made for a child so mildly engaging! Bold new words throughout text, vocabulary block at end of each chapter and questions to make sure you understand.

This is a good book for advanced beginners learning Spanish.

I am fluent in Spanish and would say these stories are not for beginners but more for an intermediate level. Having read volume one and now partway through volume two, I would also add that the stories are a bit cheesy and don’t have the greatest character development or plot. However, they are fun to read and offer a great opportunity to pick up new words or maintain your language skills.

I've ordered several of these books and loved them all. Even though the grammar and vocabulary is a beginners level, the story lines are engaging. They haven't been dumbed down to match the language level. Wish there were more of these. I would totally order them!

I bought books in English and Spanish and really liked them. Interesting stories and liked that at the end of each chapter there are questions for self-checking, and there are also answers to check yourself how correctly you answered all the questions.

This was a gift. The recipient had received the first volume and loved it, and was very happy to receive this one. They say the stories are enjoyable and that the book helped more than they thought with her learning of the language.

Easy to read and understand , very helpful to learn spanish with

Perhaps I am too much of a beginner, but with my basic vocabulary, there are still lots of words I don't know. I don't expect to know every word... I expect the stories to challenge me but these are a little difficult for me. Still I find them useful and will learn over time.
