Item looks nice and the description clearly states these are the brackets *only*. So, I don't understand the 1-star rating review, which stated the buyer was unhappy because it wasn't a complete set with the rod included...that review says more about the reading comprehension of the reviewer than the product itself.However, brass is not magnetic. It is made of copper and zinc, both non-magnetic metals. This item *is* magnetic. Therefore, likely a steel/iron core with brass plate or at least brass containing a substantial amount of iron. The description states it is made solely of brass, which it clearly is not, based upon basic physics. Due to this, I cannot give 5 stars or recommend the product.
