Absolutely beautiful box

I bought this as a gift. I felt it was quite expensive until it arrived. Then I realised why it was expensive. The workmanship is incredible. A real work of art, beautiful inside and out. My only very small quibble is the clasp and hinges look a little cheap compared to the exquisite box but definitely worth the money

Well Built. Looks fantastic and really high quality. Was given to someone as a gift and they loved it. Price seemed reasonable for a handcrafted item.

I got it as a birthday present from my husband. I is so beautiful and well made.

I have watched a video, on how these are made, and the delicate, meticulous work is astonishing to me! The detail is incredible, the multiple intricate steps that go into each item, and the care they take, in packaging the item, is as though they are wrapping a special present for every customer. These trinket boxes are some of the few things, that when I buy one, I go back and buy more, because I know my kids are going to want them one day. I have three of the one pictured here, two of the smaller ones, two large ones, and two medium sized ones, with Peonies, Butterflies and Cranes. All are superb!

Let me start off with saying I'm half Chinese. So I know a thing or two about these types of boxes. And I'm also into nice guitars - which have paua / mother of pearl all over them. This box is amazing! Fully worth the price. $70? I would pay $100 for this. Not only is there an abundance of shell all over this thing, the inside is lined with it as well. I will say I was a little shocked at first of the size. It's like a 5 inch by 8 inch box. Not huge but definitely a perfect size for keeping jewelry or something nice inside. I chose this one because most of the other February Mountain pieces, no matter the exterior color, came with red velvet interior. Traditional, but I personally would rather have black or white/creme interior. So finishing this one with paua shell inside!? Perfection for me. It's made very well. Sturdy and the lid is easy to open and it's on straight. The butterfly latch is good and snug. Very easy to use, very beautiful box. It was so gorgeous that I planned two more orders to get as gifts for people. So nice.
