Compared price for quality its very good product. I agree with previous review that hinge may be broken soon so as it's just folded plastic. Magnets are strong enough to hold figures in vertical condition

My granddaughter is learning chess and I thought this would be great for when she travels with family. I like the fact that you can also play checkers for those that don't play chess and she can learn a new game with backgammon. I did not open the box which was in very nice condition.

Look at the first picture; the set came with a warranty certificate good for one year regardless of how the product gets damaged, they will refund or replace based on your preference. That in itself is confidence inspiring. Now to the quality of the set itself, let me tell you it is top notch - I was not disappointed. Yes, there are no extra Queens, but the pieces are well made, properly weighted and are magnetic with felt bottoms. They glide along the magnetic board beautifully. The board which is also the storage case is made with heavy duty plastic and has a backgammon board that folds open on the other side, along with magnetic pieces for checkers and five dices. It is ideal for travel and with spring break just started I am looking forward to taking this with me to play with the kids. What a wonderful way to take a break from the mundane world of cell phone addiction and what a top notch high quality chess game to do that with. It had been thirty years since I played Chess and I amstoked. It even comes with instructions to brush up the basics or to look up something. I highly recommend this set.

Love this chess board!!! Pieces don't fall off or move if board is bumped or passed between players. Pieces fit inside for storage. AWESOME!!!!!!
