I love this little fella…
This has to be one of my favourite buys this year—an amazing gardening tool.Installation is very straight forward although I did run into a snag as one of the holes (in the upper handle) wasn’t drilled through properly. However, the seller was quick to help which is appreciated. It takes a couple of minutes to put it together without any snags. It’s incredibly easy to use and yes there is a kick when you first use it if you’re not used to using something like this but once that’s out the way you soon get used to it and it’s fine. Its quite powerful for its specs and rips through clay with ease, also used on slightly wet soil and it worked just as good.If it stops working that’s because something is stuck between the blades so it will shut down. This happened to me 3 times because of a rock, an old washing line and Barry Manilow’s Greatest Hits. After clearing the obstructions it will start up again within a 10-15 min window. You’ll need to clean the blades every so often, for this I use a drywall saw, it’s thin and bendy which is perfect for cutting through the soil, grass or whatever you managed to get stuck in between the blades and it gets into tight spots. I will make sure that I unplug it from the mains as a precaution. It’s not as noisy as I thought it would be, it’s inexpensive, probably the cheapest on Amazon and won’t leave you with back pain.Oh, make sure you keep an eye on the mains lead as that could get caught between the blades if you’re not paying attention. All in all I am very pleased with this cultivator—it’s done an amazing job on breaking up a thatched lawn in the blink of an eye.

I got this tiller home yesterday in order to do some lawn boarders which haven't had a good digging in a couple of years
My Honest Review.I got this tiller home yesterday in order to do some lawn boarders which haven't had a good digging in a couple of years. The soil type is heavy and the soil was quite compact beneath the first few inches. The tiller is easy to put together using the provided wing nut type fastenings but you will need a screwdriver to install the switching mechanism.Negative things:I found starting this tiller awkward as you have to use 2 hands to switch it on and I wasn't prepared for the way it tried to run away when it started. The speed of the tines going around did throw a considerable amount of soil into other areas of the garden which made me think with it running away as well that the speed of the tines may be a little fast. I would recommend that you do not start the tiller close to any boarder edges for this reason. Also the tiller did jump around when hitting the more compact areas of soil so be prepared for that as well. Because of the jumping around I noticed that the tubular steel handles started to buckle out of shape but been quite a strong person I was able to bend them back with a little pressure.Ending on a positive:Once I got over the initial shock of it wanting to run away with me when starting I was able to work with this tiller pretty well. It does a great job of tilling the soil breaking it up into fine lumps. It even tackled the more heavy areas with ease. This little tiller seems to be able to punch above its weight quite well. I would love to see it with a better start switch.Overall I was quite impressed with this little tiller it did its job well. But if your ground has not been dug for a while or is quite heavy you will need to be quite fit and strong to handle it during the initial 1st till. After that it will be plain sailing and should be a breeze even if you are not very fit. It is pretty light and is certainly worth the price.

Really Strong little machine
It was easy to assemble and is small enough to get into awkward places, with plenty of power to churn up even compacted gravelly earth.A little awkward to get it started, as the button and start lever are too far apart to activate with one hand. Having said that, it's not an issue after a few start ups... you get used to it.Good price, quiet and good quality with long handles to save your aching back!Very pleased with purchase.

Quality item
No more bending and spending hours weeding the wild flower border on the green outside our house (local authority don’t do it). Tried it when I received it to see how it performs, top drawer bit of kit, it’s going to make life a lot easier in the autumn preparing the ground. Very easy to assemble, excellent price. If you’re looking at these online don’t look elsewhere, buy it, you won’t be disappointed

vicious
excellent product, simple to assemble and get going, but a word of warning... this thing is mad! when starting for the first time, i actually thought somebody at the assembly factory had cranked the motor rpm up for a joke... jeepers. i was hanging on for dear life, with dirt flying everywhere.i arrived from just having used an electric 4 wheel scarifier and raker, which was much easier to control, though didn't dig so deep. rly need a pair of steel toecap boots with this Thet thing flying around, no joke. watch that cable! hanging the wire over my shoulder helped to keep it clear of the blades. my best advice: start the unit in a soft patch (lesson learnt), hang on tight with one hand (since this is the only way to start it) to activate the start button/lever combo, keep the angle low, and stand still at first. this will help you bring it under control from the get-go.during use i use hollow palm technique to tame this beast, i.e i kind of grip more with fingers not so much palm, arf. this helps to dampen some of the general movement/jumping/vibration when tilling firmer ground. and watch out for sturdy roots; they can catch bad and will cause the unit to jump considerably, or tie up completely. naturally, larger stones should be avoided since they can grind on the blades, or fly outwards. kinda hard when you don't know what's under the earth tho...a couple of times some longer roots and knotweed clogged up the blades, tho it still turned. i made sure to disconnect this thing from the mains before freeing it up; with the rpm of this thing, if it starts when i'm cleaning it, it's goodbye fingers, or breaks at least.using on firm ground is why the unit will bounce around, a big nono. when this happened, i found it useful to stand still and drop my hands for a lower angle of attack until the unit dug in a bit. extra control can be gained by pulling it towards you and, again, letting it dig in at bit.all that being said, i love tools like this since it rips! unfortunately, i can't recommend it for the more vulnerable seniors of our nation, i think they'll be in for quite a surprise. next time i'll use it on damper ground. good luck, and keep animals and children well away, seriously. tho a blackbird didn't mind grabbing a worm from 2 feet away... during use, brave soul.
