Very flavorful tea. Would recommend. Subtle but distinctive flavoring

I've tried a lot of green teas in the past, and I find it's really hard to find a good loose leaf tea. This one might just become my new favorite !!! And the tin container is a bonus well.

Strawberry Pineapple Green is my all time favorite tea. If you like natural, light fruity flavors this is a great tea. For health reasons if you want to add lemon, do it after the steep. Adding before will ruin the steep. I've bought this tea for years and never had an issue. Both bag and tin. I use the tea in combo with the oxo brew twisting ball tea infuser because I am lazy and all I have to do is twist it and toss the leaves.

I've been rotating through various fruit-forward green teas for morning brewing, previously using Harney & Sons and Republic of Tea blends. Picked this up looking for something with cleaner ingredient profiles and less cloying sweetness. The base is a decent sencha style green with medium cut leaves, not dusty fannings you see in grocery store bags. Going hotter or longer extracts excessive catechins and creates vegetal bitterness that overpowers the fruit. The recommended 3-minute steep on the package is borderline too long if you're sensitive to astringency. I've settled on 2:45 as the sweet spot. The strawberry comes through surprisingly natural, not that candylike artificial note common in flavored teas. Pineapple is more subtle, providing tartness and tropical undertones rather than dominating. The green tea base has moderate umami and grassy notes that actually complement the fruit instead of fighting it. Some vegetal astringency on the finish, though manageable if you nail the steeping time. The astringency can be harsh if you oversteep even slightly. This does the fruity green tea concept well without relying on artificial flavoring or excessive sweetness.
