I was looking for a rear camera for my RV. Hopefully, one that would not have all sorts of wiring requirements since my RV is an older model and not pre-wired for a rear camera system, where running all the wiring would be quite a task. Not to mention, I did not want to drill any holes in my RV if I could avoid it.Well, this camera was perfect for my needs. I had looked at other camera systems, even ones that connected by wifi, but most of them still required running a power wire. This camera stated that it required NO wiring at all...NONE!!! It sounded too good to be true, and I was a bit skeptic.Anyway, I ordered the camera system and when it arrived, I took the camera out of the box and found the directions to be super easy, with proper english and step by step photos, unlike so many other products where the instruction are either non-existent, poorly translated and/or worded horribly and make no sense. Simply charge the camera in sunlight or with the provided USB, and it is ready to go. I plugged the monitor into the cigarette lighter, mounted it on the dash, turned it on, and it connects to the rear camera almost immediately. It literally took only minutes to do. I was dreading the hours of finding an empty power source to tap into, the running of wiring to the rear of my RV. Again, no wiring at all was necessary.One thing I truly loved was that the rear camera did not require any drilling of holes in order to mount. This kit comes with a flat bracket with double-sided tape that you can mount anywhere. The rear camera slides on and off the bracket with ease and can be removed when needed to be charged. The camera is constantly charging while in sunlight, and will last all day, even if not exposed to direct sunlight. If a quick charge is needed, you can remove the camera and plug it into a USB and it will charge quickly and last for hours.The monitor is a perfect size and comes with a suction cup window mount that works great.This camera will work as either a back-up camera, where you use a small button remote to turn it on and off as needed, or as a full time backup camera, which is how I use in on my RV, as it has no rear view mirror. I really like the backup lines that can be turned on and off, as they help greatly when backing into a parking space (which is almost a must in and RV), but can be turned off when in full-time rear camera mode. Another feature I did not expect was the night vision ability. The picture was still very clear even at night.Best of all was the customer service. I had some questions about the product and emailed the seller, who responded quickly and answered my questions, and made sure I was happy with the product. I have found that with many of amazon sellers, contacting them is almost impossible, but not with these guys. They truly seemed eager to address my concerns and make sure I was nothing but perfectly happy with my purchase.Anyway, I seldom leave feedback, and only do so when I am absolutely happy and impressed with an item and/or service. This item deserved an A+ five star rating IMHO. You can not go wrong if you are looking for a vehicle camera, Best of all they put their money where their mouth is an offer a FREE RETURN policy if you are not completely happy...so I felt comfortable in buying this. It has proven to be all it promised, and I could not be happier with my purchase.

I have installed backup cameras on my car, truck and even my travel trailer. All required that I wire the camera into the brake light wiring system, sometimes this was easy sometimes it was a pain in the neck. When my daughter said she wanted a backup camera for her car I decided to try out the Solar Wireless Backup Camera from LeeKooLuu since I’ve had good luck with their products in the past. This unit sports a HD 1080P camera and a 5 inch LCD monitor. The monitor offers a 150 degree wide angle field of view and its digital wireless signal provides a nice interference free image.As I said installation of this system is very simple and basically does not require any wiring. The power to the camera is supplied by a built-in rechargeable battery that is solar charged or can be charged using a USB cable. This eliminates any need to access the vehicle wiring. The battery, solar panel and camera are combined in a compact unit that is placed on the rear of the vehicle. The camera is mounted using the provided bracket and adhesive strip. I located mine at the center of the bumper and below the trunk lid. The power switch and charging port are located behind a water proof cover on the side of the camera. The camera has a waterproof rating of IP69, mine has gone through several heavy rain storms and a couple carwashes with no problems.The monitor can be mounted either to the windshield or on the dash using the supplied components. I chose to mount it on the dash and powered it via a 12 volt cigarette outlet using the supplied adapter. Since the monitor is not hooked to the brake lights it comes on when the ignition key goes to the accessory setting or at any time by pressing the wireless remote button that comes with the system. The user interface allows you to set the usual parameters as well as the duration time the monitor stays on. The installation manual is pretty straight forward but I would still suggest watching the short online video.I am impressed with the video performance of this backup camera. The HD images are very clear during the day and quite respectable during the night. Do I recommend this camera? Yes! It is so easy to install and works great.

I bought this primarily to use as a trailer hitch cam. I like that it is easy to set up and use, and that it is portable. I did not like the way the camera is mounted to the vehicle. The choices were to glue or screw a mounting plate to my trucks, neither of which were acceptable to me. I also didn't feel the mounting plate provided adequate security for the camera as it was too easy to remove. The solution for me was to attach a strong magnet to the mounting plate (I used a rare earth one out of an old hard drive) and bingo, all my issues were resolved! The magnet holds the camera where I want it, does not mar my truck finishes, makes the whole set up easily portable, and can be popped off and securely stored inside of the truck when not in use. Were this option provided by the manufacture, I would have given five stars as I like everything else about this setup, and so far it works well and the quality appears quite good.

Hello everyone,I wanted to take a moment to tell you about my experience with the LeeKooLuu backup camera. I purchased it to use with my camper after having purchased another camera which was returned.The camera I was looking for needed to be wireless, easily mountable and have a good quality picture so i could see well when I was reversing with my rig.This camera checks all those boxes with simplicity and quality. The camera can be charged with USB, or with solar power, so I never have to worry about needing to use it on a moment's notice.The mounting plate supplied with the camera is easy to put onto the back of the trailer, either with screws or with the supplied mounting tape. It allows the camera to slide in it's holder whenever you need to use it. This means you don't have to leave it permanently affixed and worry about it being stolen.The monitor is so easy to use as well. Simply mount it to your windshield or dash, plug the supplied cable into the round 12 volt socket and press the red button to supply power to the monitor. Then, whenever you need to use it, simply wave your hand at the monitor. It will turn on for approximately 40 seconds to allow you to see when you're backing up.Also, the monitor has a crystal clear picture, in colour, so that no detail goes unnoticed.I highly recommend this camera for people who don't want to run extra wires to a camera for power and video.In my opinion, best deal on Amazon!

I bought this to use inside my horse trailer, so I can see my QH palomino while hauling her around.It's an amazing little camera, great picture! And so easy to install.Worth the money!

I needed to replace my previous solar/wireless camera that never really worked very well on my "97 Roadtrek, and finally died. This camera so far works very well, no issues. It may be due to the antenna on the camera in addition to the antenna on the monitor. Without my adaptation it would have taken about 20 minutes at most to install and set up. I adapted it to attach to the upper AC louvres on the Roadtrek, since the spare tire and back door make it impractical to attach to the lower rear. I made a small metal plate to fit, attached the magnetic bracket to that and attached the plate to the louvres with plastic ties looped behind and back through. My first test drive was on a nearby pot-holed gravel road and a short paved section, and the magnet stayed put. It is a very strong magnet; I can't see it falling off. I gave 4/5 stars because of the fact that the camera itself is not secured to the bracket, and thus "available" to passersby. My arrangement makes that a bit harder.

Nice product, very ease to setup and use it!

The media could not be loaded.  I have given this a few test runs so far and it works exactly as advertised. Screen turns on/off with the wave of a hand over the sensor, it syncs up with the camera super quick and the hd video works great, very clear display. I use this mounted on the back of my trailer so I see exactly where I’m backing up (it’s a looooong way back there…30+ feet away!).I’d say the camera itself is fairly heavy due to the battery pack, but it has a mounting bracket that you affix to the vehicle, and the camera slides in and out of it so you can remove it for safekeeping. The solar charger works well to keep the battery going for a long while. If it is dead and you need to use it quickly you have a cable to just plug it in and give it a quick charge.Overall I’d recommend, as a wireless option it is super handy and very easy to install, literally slap it on and fire it up.
