An excellent EDC keyring torch, with impressive throw and brightness
An excellent mini keyring torch. The build quality is fantastic and feels like it can take real punishment. The brightness of the LED is also impressive given the size; I have the OLIGHT I1R 2 Pro, which I've always liked, however, the light output is superior on this RovyVon A1 and with a more focused beam, it has a greater throw distance as well. The button control to switch modes, brightness, to turn on and off and to also unlock feels solid when pressed. It needs multiple presses (5 clicks) to be turned on or off and locked, to avoid accidentally turning on when in pockets or bags, there also appears to be a "standby" mode by which the torch will be off but you can press and hold the button to use the torch at max brightness - this is the mode I tend to leave it on as the button does need some effort to be pressed, and I find having to press the button so many times to cycle throw so many modes and options annoying. If the item were under £20, I would say it's reasonable value, however, at it's regular price being over that, I don't think it offers great value.

Great little torch for your keyring
Fantastic little torch for your keyring. Solid build quality, and a good range of light outputs. The brightest has phenomenal brightness, especially for its size, but the lower light levels are more than enough for normal usage and massively extends the battery life.1 star removed due to the price, which, whilst fantastic torch, still feels expensive for what it is.

Incredible key ring torch
I use it for basic stuff like searching for items in the dark and i also use it to avoid stepping on snails getting to my car at night, it’s very handy to use quickly by holding the button, easy to recharge and it’s pretty small and light weight too, the only thing that i dislike is that it always comes on full beam even when double tapping instead of holding the bottom but it’s not annoying enough to remove a star but i also think the full beam would be good to temporarily blind an attacker at night because it has blinded me a couple of times, i will and have recommended to family/friends and if i break my current one i will definitely repurchase another.Edit: i accidentally found out you can change the starting beam, when i first bought it i read the manual and tried to change it and it didn’t change but now i managed to change it

Excellent
I own the light Olight ir2 and ir2 pro. This is so much better. It's slightly bigger, but not so big as to be encumbering on your keyring. But it's so much brighter. The Olights are useful for things relatively close, but this one gives you a decent useful beam for a good 20 meters. Plus it's got a button to control 3 levels and a good strobe, rather than a twist control to select between two brightness levels on the Olight.Definitely worth the extra money.

Amazingly bright
The lower light levels are sufficient for finding that elusive keyhole in the pitch dark and the highest setting is great for adding light to a photograph. What no-one reported though is that at the highest level it gets very hot. Really hot... as hot as an uncomfortably hot thing... hotter than can be held ... hotter than Angus McHot of Hottery Avenue, Hotville, .... well you get the idea. To be fair a small line in the instructions does mention that one should not cover the lens when operating the torch at full power for danger of melting the glass. Slightly overcomplicated for a torch and for the price it would have been nice to have had a USB A to C lead enclosed. Otherwise a great little torch.
