Because some time a heel bar on each side of your work piece is the exact thing you need. The build quality is nice. The coating is either a carbon black or black phosphate never have been sure which. Some of the other brands out there have the powder coat finish, which is nice. In my field, not worth the premium. No, they wont impress your buddy with all the Snap-On tools and the bill to match. But again, great tools and durable.
