Downlight 5/6 Inch 2700 Kelvin with Warm Glow Dimming

I tried a number of 6" down lights. One that was highly rated on several popular reviews, that also had a dim to warm feature. This beat them all by a mile. And surprisingly wasn't even on the list.The light is fantastic on the brightest setting, all the way dimmed is a cozy warm light but not orange like some of them. The diffuser over the light softens the light, and makes it so they are not harsh when looking at them. Shadows are softer. No buzzing.I love these. There's no comparison.

I love the Warm Glow dimming feature that you can get on many Phillips LED bulbs, because I like to keep these at a very low level most of the time. There is no flicker and the color is very much like a halogen bulb when dimmed way down. It has a good mechanism that lets you 'screw' the whole fixture into the old can to get a nice tight fit with the ceiling.

Why did Philips have to ruin this with it's terrible knife edge friction fit mounting. It just is blatantly inferior to the spring mount the Halo lights have. It gets 1 star because I just can't install these consistently, but otherwise gets 5 for it's brilliant color and warm glow.

Very nice lights. We had recess lighting installed and the electrician used a standard 'warm' light, however it only went to 3000k and was very bright/cool. We switched for these lights and they are exactly what we were hoping for. They are bright when all the way up, and dim nicely all the way down to the lowest level and to a warm 2200k, which has the feel of a warm incandescent light.

My wife and I care deeply about the quality of the light in our home. These lights don’t disappoint. They feel like incandescent bulbs without any of the disadvantages. So sad Philips is discontinuing these products.

I did quite a bit of research into which lights would be best for our home. I don't like cool white light and therefore my minimum requirement is 2700K or less which is more challenging to find in a quality LED light. These are just excellent lights that are really easy to replace and they look very good. It is true that occasionally you spend a few more minutes installing it into an improperly mounted recessed fixture but I have always managed to get them flush to the ceiling with a twist or two. They look super and dim right down almost to the level of my previous incandescent lights. I have probably bought 30 or 35 of these over the past six months and not had a single problem. I will be replacing the rest of the lights in my house shortly.

I like the warm glow option - more comparable to the incandescent bulbs I replaced. The mounting system is different but it works in my canisters.Still brighter than the bulbs I had, and won’t dim as much, nut this is the best replacement I could find.
