This little saw is great
I bought this to cut plastic, plexiglass to be exact. But we had a nor’easter storm over night that toppled a large tree branch into my yard. Since this was the only saw I had on hand I thought I would give it a try. And mind you I hadn’t used it before. It was great on the branches. The largest to the smallest. Clean cuts and easy to use. The blades are very sharp and the fact that you pull it helps a lot. I just wiped the blade clean and put it back in its case. Really happy I bought this.

Makes a nice clean cut
I grow a lot of bamboo and cut it for use as stakes and various projects. I have previously cut the bamboo cane with a large pruner, the cutter ended up crushing the canes. I wanted to be able to cut bamboo and needed a saw with fine teeth. This saw fit the bill nicely, the blade has many small teeth and makes a nice clean cut. The saw blade is thin buts works well to cut the bamboo quickly and I can easily cut angled cuts which I wasn't able to do with pruners.

Sharp and Sturdy!
This is one of those those tools that I would say is a lifetime tool for someone who uses it right. It's well built and my goodness is it nice and sharp! I used to to clean up some limbs after an ice storm wrecked my yard, and it sure worked great. The shape of the handle allows you to get a good strong pull on it, and those teeth really bite in. Afterward I cleaned it (carefully!) and put some tsubaki oil on it, and expect it will be as good as new next time it's needed. If Something were to happen to it or I manage to wear it out or try to cut through rebar or something, I would definitely buy one again, but again, if you take basic care with it, it will last for years of good cutting.

Cuts Bamboo Really Well
This saw cuts through bamboo really well leaving a nice smooth finish to the cut. Just what I needed for use on the bamboo canes and hiking and hiking sticks that I make. Not a real issue, but the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to the flex in the blade being a little more than I desire. It's mainly a personal thing. I would buy it again.

Great tool to have for pruning
I purchased the bamboo cutting hand saw to prune the overgrowth from several birds of paradise plants. The leaf stalk fibers are kind of similar to bamboo and this Japanese handsaw cut through both green and dried, dead stalks like butter. I actually have a smaller Japanese pruning saw but its length isn't long enough to slice across wide stalks, that one takes more time to cut. This Kakuri bamboo cutting blade will make this chore so much easier. I have no issues with the blade thickness. It does flex a little bit, but that's a bonus for maneuverability with these damn birds of paradise leaf stalks.

Good For Bamboo
I tried to make my own bamboo deer scarer water feature. This saw was easy to use and pretty sharp. But the fountain didn't tip correctly - the balance was off - so I ended up buying one from Amazon. In the end, it was a good saw for my DIY attempt.
