Good flashlight, at a less expensive price!
I have several Sofirn flashlights now, and I think they're pretty good. The C8A is no particular exception. Here are the flashlights' main statistics.Length-wise it's about 5.5". It's widest part is the head, at 1.7" It has a beam-distance of 200 meters. It's impact resistant to 1 meter, and can go underwater to a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes. The LED is a CREE XP-L2.It comes with some pretty good accessories, which includes its own good quality 3000mAh 18650 battery, and a mini (travel) charger which works via micro USB! Other size batteries besides the 18650 can also be charged. It has two operating groups.Group 1 consists of 4 modes; low, medium, high, and strobe.Group 2 consists of 6 modes; moonlight, low, medium, high, SOS, strobe. The output is as follows;-moonlight; 1 lumen-low; 90 lumens-medium; 595 lumens-high; 1747 lumens (Group 1) 1050 lumens (Group 2)-strobe; 1050 lumensTo operate it, just press the button, then give it a "half-press" to change the mode. It has mode memory too, so it'll always return to where you had it last. To get to strobe in either of the groups, just half-press twice while it's on. SOS is only available in Group 2, and can only be activated by advancing the modes beyond high.It has a very nice bright beam, which goes the distance. Literally! It's a pretty simple to operate flashlight, which I think most people will appreciate. I'm leaving off a star because the only method of carrying it, is a basic lanyard which it comes with. It has no belt holster. For someone who wants quality in an LED flashlight, but doesn't want to spend a lot of money... the Sofirn C8A is a good choice. The outdoor shots below are taken on high mode. The photo of the clock is on 'moonlight'.

1800 Lumen Thrower in a C8. Enough said.
I am a lover of all things Sofirn. I have many of their lights. This is by far the best C8 type light at any price. If you get the light with the included battery and charger, feel safe knowing that the battery they send you is exactly as it's rated on the outside and performs very well. The charger charges at about 0.8 of an amp so for a included charger it works just fine too. I mount this light on my rifle for night time coyote hunts and it can easily spot a coyote out to 200 yards. If you are looking for a good throwing flashlight just grab this one and forget the rest.

The C8A is a super bright and high-quality flashlight
Be sure to read the dates of the reviews, as some are not about the C8A. The C8A is a super bright and high-quality flashlight. I am extremely pleased after using it for about a week, and will probably buy another. Be advised this flashlight is not for novices, but for enthusiasts or flashaholics. Familiarize yourself with Li-ion battery technology if this is your first foray into high-powered flashlights. Overall, I highly recommend the C8A.

Pocket size and nice and bright
Pocket size and nice and bright, I can have it in my pocket if under house or where ever and not have to struggle with a full size light. I am very happy with it.
