these panels are amazing!! they add elegance to any room and they come together right out the box. I needed to separate a small part of my dining room in my apt because of an unsightly view as my front door opened and it works wonders. I got a six panel but i could have gotten 7. you can easily manipulate the panels to twist and turn the way you want it.cons: not the sturdiest but have it do have some weight to it, it will not fall with the slightest wind blowing.

Item arrived much earlier than expected, and arrived in PERFECT condition. It was very well packaged to survive shipping, so no dents, scrapes or tears. This room divider is exactly what I needed for my apartment. If I am not home when maintenance makes a service call, my apartment door is often left wide open while he's inside. I can see the open door on the security cam, and it makes me anxious, especially when I'm away from home. While I doubt anyone has walked by and looked in my apartment, with the door wide open, it can be hard to resist. It's rare that I place a service request, however, when I do, I want privacy! I don't want to have the door to my home wide open , especially when I'm not home. If you live in an apartment where you can't make too many changes, but you want a room divider for privacy, or to divide up a large space, this is exactly what you need. I am extremely happy with my purchase! The delivery person even brought it inside for me. It comes is a large box, so you might need help bringing it inside. The divider is sturdy, well made and solid. I ordered the black, and yes, the hinges are gold, but that doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, you can always spray paint them black. If you don't want to use this as a room divider, do an online search for other creative ways to use it such as to line the wall behind your sofa or bed, etc. Even the shipping box was very easy to break down for disposal. So glad I finally ordered this item.

I bought this Shoji Room Divider because I needed some kind of barrier behind my couch to keep my 1.5 year safer (I have a raised ranch and there's a steep drop behind my couch). Obviously, this isn't a perfect solution but with supervision, it does the trick, and there aren't a lot of other options that don't involve a major permanent home modification.So the price is pretty good compared to other similar options and considering it has 5 panels. There was no option to pick the color when buying and no one reached out to me to see what color I wanted so I wasn't quite sure what I'd get, but I ended up getting black like I wanted.The packaging seemed decent, however my box was fairly damaged so I wasn't surprised to find some damage to the product when I opened it. It's a pretty sturdy wood with a thick paper background and looks super pretty! I love how it looks in my livingroom.The panels were attached already so there was no additional assembly required. The paper was intact, but some of the thin wood portions were separated/broken and required fixing (wasn't hard to do with a little glue, but who wants to have to fix a brand new pricy product?).I'm giving this 4 stars because I do really like the product, but it came broken and I'm not a huge fan of the fact that the back of the panels are just a sheet of white with no black grids... aesthetically it's kind of ugly from the back but it has served its purpose for me.If you are looking for a decorative room divider, I definitely think this is a good option. Just don't be too surprised if you have to do a little DIY repair on it before setting it up.Hope this helps!
