Modernistic
PURCHASE DATE: 20JAN18PRICE: $34.99REVIEW DATE: 23JAN18I purchased this item for security. I was tired of paying $35.00+ a month for home security like my neighbor. My neighbor was burglarized and he too had a security system like mine (worked fine). But when he was burglarized there was a huge delay. From the time of alarm activation, Security Company tried to call him on his cell, and then them trying to inform police the burglar was long gone. Gone in 60 seconds like the movie SMH. Soo…we both decided to say goodbye to these security companies.Between having security cameras around your home, smart doorbells, and this you should be covered. Saves you money in the long run. Buy once cry once. If you do decide to set up your own home security do not forget battery back-ups in your home so they continue to run during a power outage. Back up for your cameras and also WIFI router.Out of the box it took roughly 5 minutes to download the application and set up the device to be connected. I also set up the application on my laptop.Setting up the motion activated alert was easy right from the application. I went into a dark part of my home and called over my puppy and you can see in the pictures attached the quality is not bad. Better than what I expected. It immediately alerted me of motion detected and I was able to move the camera through the application left, right, up, and down with ease. Being able to pan around the room is great. My plan is to install this on the ceiling corner of my garage on a slightly downward angle. In a quiet room you can hear the camera panning around.Having the two way talk feature reminds me of what RING doorbell is currently doing and with its new security camera fog-light. The bonus of buying this one is the price (way cheaper!). I like what I see thus far.So far so good but if anything arises I will update this review.PLEASE NOTE: I do these reviews to help people out. Amazing Camera for the Price!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Great camera to check in with a live view to see what’s happening in and outside your house around the clock! This is the first camera in our house that allows us to wirelessly rotate it 360 degrees and up and down. We set it up to monitor our front porch to detect anyone approaching and the camera radius goes just beyond the front porch, covering a good portion of the lawn and driveway. The setup was easy and quick and the video quality is great, particularly considering how inexpensive it is compared to similar cameras on the market. Check out the video to see the 360 degree rotation in action!

So far, so good!
I bought this camera to keep an eye on my dog, who has Degenerative Myelopathy, while I'm at work all day. It's killing me to have to leave him, but this will make the transition easier and help me to delegate, from a remote location, care-assistance from others. From start to finish, the set-up took less than a half-hour. There were things that didn't make any sense...that I found confusing...but I just made UNeducated guesses and apparently managed just fine because it's working. Also, you should know I'm no technological genius; Not even close.Anyway, the camera was packaged very nicely. There were 2 cords included (power and ethernet) as well as some wall-mounting screws. The picture is great and the lag time is minimal.I was able to set a motion alert that doesn't seem to pick-up any minor movements like my dog turning his head, or my other dog changing sleeping positions, but it did detect me walking across the room...so, that will be helpful to alert me when a "caregiver" has arrived home to assist the dog.I don't think you can move/pan the camera from a remote location. It looks like once you have it in place, that's it. I could be wrong but I don't see the option available. However, I was able to zoom-in on the live-feed, which is awesome. The app seems pretty good and is easy to use.Just go to your phone's app store and search for the 'ebitcam app' and check it out before you buy the camera.Anyway, so far, I'm happy with the camera and I think it's going to do everything I need it to do.UPDATE: You CAN move the camera from a remote location!

Good video bad hardware and app
The video quality is surprisingly good for $39 but the camera goes into "night" mode when there should be plenty of ambient light for normal operation - i.e. a room full of direct sunlight. The motion detection feature worked exactly once and on the first try. A few hours later I received false alerts about motion in my garage so I turned down the default sensitivity setting from 90 to 75 and the feature has not worked since despite later returning to the factory default. The PTZ features are OK but a little slow to respond most of the time. The setup is comical because the camera relies on acoustic signals from your phone to configure the WiFi connection. That's right, the phone squawks and beeps like a modem as it tells the camera about your network. It works but is pretty wonky and does not inspire confidence in the product. The app is epically bad and unintuitive. The orientation of the screen changes randomly, the English is bad, and the overall appearance give you the impression it was hastily written with no mind paid to ease of use or quality. It makes me wonder how secure it and the supporting services are. Save yourself time and aggravation and spend a bit more for a better camera. Steer clear of this mess.UPDATE: The seller contacted me and offered to pay me to remove this review. Hopefully this information will be helpful to others.

Good economical IP cam
The market is flooded with these IP cams with all sorts of features and apps. This one was to me a great choice for a economical stand alone cam for security or baby cam, this isn't the first IP cam I've purchased. I have two more expensive ones that have the same features and all just at twice the price. Was very simple to connect and set up, the app is OK and the video is as expected for the specifications of the cam. The bandwidth is requires to transfer data is perfect for 2.4 GHz connection as well as the range of that frequency allows you to place it further way from your modem/router. The problem with that is most peoples mobile devices are now connected to GHz and won't find the cam unless manually selecting that network. I prefer having IP cams that don't have to connect to the manufactures servers and force you to login to view. In the end so far we are very happy with this cam and will update if any issues arise.August 20, 2018. I've noticed after using this for a long time the software is fairly glitchy, still usable but I will stick with popular brands.I do a lot of research for all of my purchases so I enjoy helping people save time and make informed decisions on there purchases, That is why I take the time to write about my experiences. Please let me know if you have any questions or if my review has helped you in any way. If my experience with a product changes over time I do come back and edit my reviews.

Good security camera, easy to use and clear image.
The product arrived quickly and was carefully packaged. Inside the box was the camera, a mounting kit, a manual, a charger (micro USB) and an Ethernet cable. The setup is relatively simple and the process takes around 3-5 minutes. First download the Ebitcam app on the App Store or Play Store. You will need to follow the on-screen instructions to connect the camera.Once connected, the live camera feed will be visible on your mobile device and on your Ebitcam online account. The camera looks great and the neutral white colour fits in well with a range of environments.I found that the connection quality is excellent and works very well with both LAN and wireless connections. The camera can be mounted either on its side or upside down. Regardless of position you are able to clearly view all parts of a room. The quality of the image is excellent, the 720p camera provides focused and clear images with good zoom and visibility. The camera has a number of different modes, including night mode. The night vision images are almost as good as the day time ones, once again providing clear images and video streams. The app and camera have a number of different settings, allowing you to customise the camera to suit your own needs. You are able to modify the motion detection settings, giving you control to adjust sensitivity and receive notifications and record videos when the camera detects movement. From the mobile app, you are able to record video, take photos, listen to the high quality audio from the camera, move the camera around and speak through the camera. In terms of image and video storage, there are two options, without one of them you will not be able to view any saved images/videos. You can either use a microSD card or purchase the cloud storage service from Ebitcam. If you would like to use more than one camera, you are able to add more cameras to your account and on the app.Overall, this is a good camera with a decent set of controls. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to make their house more safe and secure. Having a reliable camera can give you peace of mind when you are out and will ensure you know exactly what is going on wherever you are. This camera would also work well for office security. Thanks for reading. If you found this review useful, please click the helpful button below.

The best IP Camera I've bought, and I've had a couple now. Great Features, easy to setup and superb picture quality.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This IP Camera arrived well packaged in a cardboard box.The Box contained 1x IP Camera, 1x USB Charging Cable, 1x 3 Pin UK USB Power Supply, 1x Ethernet Cable, 1x Mounting Kit including Fixings, 1x Instruction Manual.I'm a huge fan of these IP Cams, and have recently purchased the cheaper 720 version of this camera. I was that impressed and have a need for another, I've decided to step up to this slightly more expensive 1080 Full HD model. If your unsure what an IP camera is, it's basically a HD camera that connects to your home network (in this case either Hard wired or wirelessly) and allows you to use an App on a smart device to view the camera's stream from anywhere in the world as long as you have a network connection. This Ebitcam range is by far the easiest I've come across so far to set up and get running. It also provides the best picture quality, and fluidity of movement from any of the other camera's I own.The camera itself is very well made from durable impact plastic. Setup involves switching the camera on, then installing an app on your smart device called Ebitcam. You can install this either via the provided QR code or a simple search of your devices App store. Once installed just follow the simple instructions for adding the camera. When asked for a username use an email address you have access to as you will need to validate your email address to confirm it does belong to you. Once you've set the app up just add a camera by pressing the + symbol in the top left corner of the App, and follow the simple on screen instructions. (Press reset on the rear of the camera, enter your Wifi Networks password and place your phone close to the camera when it's generating an weird squeaky audio command). The 720 model has a smaller field of view than this version, with this it fits in the whole width of my living room. The level of zoom on this brand of cameras is also far superior to any other model I've tried, and is again much clearer. When using the Pan and Tilt feature the motors on the camera are virtually silent, again unlike any other model I've used before, with most models making a noticeable whirring noise when they move. As expected this model provides a superb picture quality. I was impressed by the 720 version and the upgrade to this model is noticeable. Both the video and the photos are crystal clear with excellent colours. The camera has an array of built in Infra Red LED lights that allow images to be captured even in complete darkness. Recordings can be recorded directly onto the Camera if you install a Micro SD card (Not Provided) or recorded on demand via the app onto your smart device. The camera also has a motion detection feature that will alert you and record automatically if it detects movement. You can also schedule recordings. The Camera can record audio and you can even use the App to speak through the Camera. This is also the easiest app I've seen for accessing recordings made on your smart device on PC's. You just have to enter a supplied IP address into your browser to be able to download the recording to your PC / Laptop. Both the 720 and this model are superb cameras. If your on a tight budget then the 720 model really won't disappoint, but if you can stretch that little bit of extra cash then this is the model I would recommend.

Worst company on Amazon
Setup took 2 hours. I'm not joking. I'm on the 2nd floor of my house while the router is in the basement. It couldn't connect so I tried to connect it to my wifi extender which is in the same room, and it didn't connect for a very long time. It briefly connected and said the software had an update. I made the mistake of pressing this which made the device disconnect for some reason. It's finally working now. DONT UPDATE IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE HOURS ON THIS STUPID THING.The video quality is very good. However it doesn't connect to Google Home!! I bought it with the intention of using it with my GH because the description says "smart wifi". I'm so disappointed about this.Edit: I refunded this. They tried to get me to change my review and give me a PARTIAL refund. They had the audacity to ask me to lie in my review but not even give me all of my money back. They keep messaging me repeatedly to get me to change my review!!! I'm pretty sure they paid for the reviews they have on this item. Avoid this company at all costs.Edit 2: they refunded me fully after returning it, and then they tried to buy me off by offering me $10 to change my review to 5 stars. Honestly I could have used the $10 but if it means this will deter others from buying from this horrible company then it's not worth it!!!

Impressive indoor camera for the money
Purchased the Ebitcam 720p Smart Wifi indoor camera primarily to place in our kitchen to keep an eye on our pet dogs, one of which is a puppy who likes to steal items from our worktops! Ok, it was an excuse to spy on them to see what they get up to all day :-)For the price, the video quality is very good when viewing on smartphone or tablet, even via website on PC. Video is pretty smooth and there is an ability to zoom in by pinching screen and/or panning/tilting the camera remotely. There is also the function for 2-way audio, so as well as being able to hear the subjects in the video, you can also speak remotely to the subject(s). Very handy when needing to tell off above-mentioned puppy in the middle of jumping up on kitchen table! All in all, would definitely recommend this as a good value/quality smart camera.
