I dye my own hair and have been for years with this dye. Its the only one that hasn't ever ruined my hair, and the color develops beautifully. I use a low volume developer (10-20, always from Satin as well) for my level 6 hair, and leave it in for about 45 minutes. Totally even and vibrant colors! And it doesn't burn my nose or scalp.
