Once again I looked at the overall rating of this item and thought it was good to go. But now that I have my tablecloth protector on the table it's clear I should have looked over the one star reviews because I now see why people are so unhappy with this item.First as other dissatisfied reviewers pointed out, this is NOT a Benson Mills tablecloth protector. It's a generic no name brand.Secondly, the creases on this tablecloth protector are so etched into the plastic I cannot see how they will ever come out. The description for this item clearly says, "Packaged in large folds with protective paper to avoid permanent creasing." This completely FALSE!I don't see how a hairdryer will make this thing relax. When I first put it on the table it was literally shooting up in all directions. I wanted this tablecloth protector in time for the holidays and with Christmas just a week away I am more frustrated than ever. I'm sending this garbage back.In my photos you can see the horrible creases. I also found a photo of the Benson Mills logo and put it up next to my packaging material. You can see there is no Benson Mills logo on the item that I received. I feel scammed.

Bought it for my wooden table. COULD NOT get wrinkles out that will cover the whole surface for the way this is folded for shipping. I tried books, hair dryer and clothes dryer and nothing took out the wrinkles. Clothes dryer made it actually more wrinkly. I even asked Amazon for replacement because I thought I received a bad one, the second one that was shipped was the same way. If you want to have a nice clear flat surface vinyl tablecloth, this is not it. If you’re ok with the wrinkles then this is for you.

I was hesitant to purchase this initially because of some of the other reviews, but I decided NOT to listen to the nay-sayers and I'm so happy. This tablecloth protector is exactly what I was hoping I'd get in terms of material, weight, thickness, etc. It has stitching on its edges to finish it and make it more durable, and durability is always a plus when you have 3 kids. It's easy to clean, protects your tablecloths from stains, and protects your table from the damage of everyday use--what more can you ask for? My family ate Thanksgiving dinner on this protector and had no issues with our hot dishes, but in the future I will probably refrain from putting anything else hot on it without a placemat or trivet underneath, just for the sake of making sure I can keep this for the foreseeable future. I haven't tried to get the creases out of it because I really don't care about them, and neither does my family. This protector is superb value for the money, and I'd buy this brand again if I ever need another.

I don’t understand why all the reviews about the folds in this vinyl table protector. How did you people expect a 70” round or bigger table protector to be sent to you? Without folds & wrinkles, really? Well being a logical person I expected folds & wrinkles to be apart of the protector and thought I would handle them when I had to. It arrived in a medium size package which meant a lot of folding & wrinkles. No worries, it’s only a vinyl table protector and if people judge me by the folds & wrinkles, So Be It! lol! So washed the table cloth I wanted to use and ironed it so it would look pristine under the vinyl protector. The vinyl protector came with tissue paper between the half way fold. I’m sure it saved it from sticking together. Next On the lowest setting on the iron I ironed out what I thought to be the bad folds & wrinkles of the table protector on the ironing board. Then I positioned the protector over the table & tablecloth and tried to center it. I then ironed the vinyl protector once again only this time right where it was going to sit. I read a few reviews where people did not like the hem or white thread around the bottom, this hem is one reason I wanted this protector as it makes it look finished. After all the ironing I did to the protector there are no ridges or bumps that stand up, no folds that will bother anyone or the wrinkles for that matter. Can you see where the folds were yes you can but they are pretty much flat. You get what you pay for and I’m very happy with this purchase. I would recommend this table protector to anyone wanting a nice protector at a decent price. I will buy this item again.

Very disappointed with this order. The product received was not as it was described. It isn’t heavyweight NOR was it Benson Mills brand! It was a generic plastic package. I think the outside plastic packaging was about the same thickness. However it did have the finished edge.Would not recommend.

This is a transparent plastic tablecloth or tablecloth cover.The bad:There's a smell, which eventually left.There are creases from the folds, which haven't gone away yet. Other reviewers suggest hairdryer to get get rid of the creases. I haven't done that yet.Though I haven't tested, it doesn't seem heat resistant.Though scissors can cut through this to resize, the edges are finished with a white thread, so it would show, unless all four edges were cut off.The good:It's sturdy, (though not heat proof)It looks good.It doesn't slip around on my table.It acheives the purpose of protecting the table underneath.It's transparent.

I wanted a cover to protect my tablecloth, and this one met my expectation. It was folded, but I was able to straighten it with a hair dryer. It is soft and comes nicely on top of my current tablecloth!

The creases will never come out of this. It should be rolled. Some of the creases are so pronounced that they catch food and items on the table in them. They’re more like slices in the plastic.I’ve tried various ways of flattening this over the past few weeks to no avail.

exactly what I wanted. easy to clean my table now. I am not sure why so many freaking out over the creases. I expected it cuz I was sure they couldn't' deliver it rolled up. I just used my dish or bowl whenever I had a hot/warm food. I placed my bowls or plates on the creases until I was ready to sit down and eat. I didn't want to take my time separately to do this so I did it whenever I had steam rice or soup in a bowl place it on the crease I wanted to remove while I got other stuff ready to eat. you can just use hot water in a bowl and do the same. kinda like ironing but not as hot, so it won't melt the plastic.

There is only one use case I can see this working... if you use it on an outdoor table directly under the sun.Why?There are deep, deep creases which cannot be ironed out or stretched out fully, even using a hair dryer on high. Unlike a fabric based tablecloth, this cannot be fully ironed or steamed to flatten so it’s essentially useless. For single use protection during crafts or such it’s good — but day-to-day, those creases are unsightly.Also, there was a cut in mine so either way... it’s going back.

As other comments say: this comes folded and has creases in it. Very time consuming to iron/blow dry out the fold lines. The hem is nice though. Vinyl is thin but sufficient....maybe 6mil thick (guess only). Their claim that it is specially folded and separated with a liner to prevent creasing is absolutely false!

It's great. Thick and durable, wipes down very easily. It's a lot nicer quality than other tablecloth covers I've had in the past. That being said, the creases... I put it in the dryer on low for a few minutes when I first got it and it didn't remove the creases, not even in the slightest. A couple days after being on my table, there is no sign of the creases disappearing. I haven't tried a hair dryer yet, but I will. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal to me. But, if it is to you, then this tablecloth cover might not be for you.
