Probably goes without saying if I’m reviewing this, but I’m pretty experienced with coffee (also a former barista for many years) and can hold my caffeine. I used to drink Death Wish, which in the end didn’t feel any different than drinking Great Value Donut Shop K-cups (except for being worse tasting) and pretty much all the others that claim to be extremely strong. This one actually is.Going by the caffeine content, Black insomnia is 1105 milligrams per 12 fl oz. Death Wish is 728 milligrams per 12 fl oz. So mathematically this is about 150% as strong. But what matters is that I can actually tell it’s that strong, even being as caffeine tolerant/jaded to “strong coffee” as I am. I think some of the other reviews were expecting the strongest “tasting” coffee rather than the strongest caffeine wise. This one actually keeps me awake so I can get stuff done, unlike DW and Black Rifle etc. (hence the “insomnia” part of the name I suppose). And for the guy who mentioned a burnt popcorn taste… try cleaning your machine, that happens when you have months or years of old coffee oils built up inside a Keurig machine. Gross I know, but not your coffee’s fault. For me, the taste was good, strong, with a nutty flavor and aroma.Anyway, this is the strongest coffee (in caffeine) AND I can tell the difference, unlike pretty much every other “extra strong coffee” i’ve tried in the last decade or so. I actually reserve these pods for when I’m sure I need the most energy and won’t need to sleep for a good while. I’ll be buying this one again.

The taste is amazing. Very intense full body flavor. And you really do feel full after a cup.As for high caffeine and energy -- I didn't see or notice anything.Not everyone experiences an energy boost with caffeine --- some just don't. It has to do with their genetics.

Will keep you going

I switched from energy drink to this coffee I so far I'm happy with it. One cup in the morning keeps me going all day.

Weak tasting coffee, tastes as if it is watered down. Where’s the caffeine kick advertised? Lacking. Not sure what I received compared to the rave reviews here but underwhelmed overall.

Coffee is good, but the cup plastic is extremely hard to puncture!

MAYBE I AM ADDICTED TO THESE COFFEE PODS! SO WHAT! I WILL FIGHT YOU FOR THESE! LOL! GET SOME! YOU WILL BE SO PLEASED AND WIDE AWAKE! NIGHT SHIFTERS HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING TO KEEP US UP AT NIGHT!

Its nice if you are looking for an extra kick in the butt, particularly on a Monday morning. Don't drink it in the afternoon and not expect to start the next day without the hair of the dog that bit you. Actually, i have been drinking it daily, but skipping my second cup. I had to cut Starbucks out of my budget so this is my caffeine treat now.

I have a box - I’ll use it when I’m out of everything else

I am now drinking this coffee and a sip remains in my mug. I was hoping for a real lift from this coffee but it didn't come. The coffee is a nice flavor but I get far more lift from one 473 ml can of Red Bull than this coffee.
