**Q: what is best lighting heating for tourtouises in house on a table**
A: I just ordered 2 Evergreen Pet Supplies 100 Watt UVA UVB Mercury Vapor Bulb/Light/Lamp for Reptile and Amphibian Use - Excellent Source of Heat and Light for UV and Basking for each of my Russian tortoises.   I understand these all-in-one bulbs are the better choice for tortoises.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the block?  I'm curious if it'll fit in my turtle's food dish**
A: 3.5"l x 1.25" h x 1.75"w.  I have mine set in the substrate.   My Russian tortoises haven't touched theirs.

**Q: about how long does it last?**
A: My tortoise would have nothing to do with this. i even shaved off some thinking it might be to big but nothing helped i tossed it away.

**Q: Does this help to trim their beaks?**
A: I'm not sure. I purchased this for my hatchling leopard tortoise but he didn't show any interest.
