The box said Mexico, but I was skeptical when I saw the Molcajete. Too perfect, too smooth. However, after I finished seasoning it, all the debris inside the pores were released and you could see it was volcanic stone’s pores, those things that trap and release all the delicious flavours. The Molcajete is very well carved and carved from a solid piece of rock. It does exactly what it’s supposed to and that is grind and mash things to perfection. Worthwhile purchase!

This molcajete is great! Love it. It was a gift and i was just a little disappointed it didn’t come with instructions on how to cure/season it (It said it would in the description)

El molcajete es pequeñito, pero así es como se anuncia. Me gustó mucho y el material es bueno. Aunque me llegó perfectamente empacado, debo decir que el repartidor ansioso, a pesar de estar en casa, lo aventó a través de la reja por no esperar a que saliéramos a recibirlo. Afortunadamente no se dañó gracias al buen empaque. Cuidado con eso!
