So you can use either bag type in either Genie without trouble. **Q: How many wee wee pads does one refill bag hold?** A: I use mine to put the poop bags in and I close the bag up the night before trash and throw it away. I have two dogs, one big and one little and the actual genie holder is perfect for holding 1 week of bags. The refill bag is a continuous bag and you tie a knot on the bottom of the bag and when the container is full, you pull a bit more bag out of the refill ring to allow you to cut (which there is a blade in the container to assist you) and tie off the bag to throw it away. Then you pull more of the 'bag' out of the refill ring, tie a knot on the bottom and start all over for the week. As to why they are way cheaper than the Litter Genie bags is beyond me. Maybe some vendetta against cat owners. I've bought these refills twice and the product itself is good and resistant to the heaviness of cat poop, especially their pee, it can get heavy. The bags have never torn on me and that's great and I'm thankful. I think I would need therapy If the bag were to tear once I was making my trip with it to the main trash can. I can't imagine having to clean up that mess and having to smell it. Cat owners know what I'm talking about. I had one refill were the bag completely came out of the package and it was a hassle putting it back in but that doesnt take away from the product itself. Maybe a machine malfunction while filling that parricular refill or something but all the other refills worked as intended.
